The M6 belongs to my friend Arash, from Rhode Island. Unfortunately, I didn't get an opportunity to really hear his new exhaust yesterday. I believe his former setup was basically straight pipes. It sounded great but was too loud for his taste, so he found something a bit more tame.
anyone know who the yellow 911 belongs to? i think i ran into this car before. i actually may have tried to buy this car before too, but i was a little too slow.
That belongs to another friend of mine from Rhode Island, his name is Russell. He picked the car up from Inskip Porsche in July. The previous owner had a few Ferrari's as well and apparently liked the looks of a sheild on the fender. So, he chose to add one to his 997. Other than that the car was stock when Russ purchased it. Since then he's had it chipped, added an intake and opened up the exhaust. He added the black Axis wheels about a month ago, prior to that it had the 18" 5 spokes from the standard 911.
OK guys, where are all the pictures from the caravan to Autumn View Farm? Since we were the lead car, we had no way of taking any (too busy trying to keep us all on course....ok, ok it was only one wrong turn). Let's see some from the road trip.
Hey Craig - didn't see you there! I didn't grab any pictures, but I did see your Turbo. Another sweet car, must be nice to have to decide which one to take.
thats funny. i saw him buy the car, and i ran into him on 138 in newport once. i was at inskip that day. i had been looking at that car for a little while. i finally decided i wanted to buy something and i went to inskip. i test drove another yellow one and while i was deciding which one to buy your friend bought his. oh well, i ended up with this car. so far so good: Image Unavailable, Please Login

Hi All, AVF Gathering 2008 The agreement was that Sandy and I would provide the destination and refreshments. You, the attendees, were asked to provide the enthusiasm. Holy cow !!! You folks went way overboard. My official count is 41 cars Ferrari, Porsche, BMW, Caddie, Alpha, NSX, Viper, AMG and an original 240Z with the Porsches edging the Ferraris by a count of 18 to 14. Sixty hearty, road weary persons dismounted their respective machines to brave the blustery winds at Autumn View Farm. The most often heard greeting after the drive was that was great. Now can you direct me to the nearest restroom? Special Thanks and Recognition: Dipstick1 for hatching this crazy scheme Saint Bastage for providing the momentum to move this forward Myslow1 for leading the run for border. Only one wrong turn with a pack of enthusiast drivers nipping at your heels. Thats as much pressure as an F1 driver is under and the F1 driver has an advantage because he already knows which way the road ahead goes. Very well done sir. Very well done indeed. Paul for arraigning the Quabbin Reservoir Drive for the Porsche contingent Most Miles Driven - Maine-iacs lead by Patrick and Sarah from Maine to Rocky Hill, CT to AVF and back to Maine. Thanks to all who attended (you know who you are). Regret that I didnt have an opportunity to visit with each of you. A few photos follow. AVF Gathering 2009 When Shall probably move the date forward into September 2009. Less wind. Peak foliage. Doesnt conflict with Sandys biggest horse show of the year. We may be able to arrange an exhibition polo match for your viewing. May be able to arrange a golf cart polo match in which attendees may participate. Im already working on shortening one half dozen polo mallets. Ill need to secure the use of an equal number of electric golf carts (with insurance to cover scratched paint). No performance modifications shall be allowed to any cart. Does anyone know where I can obtain a dozen of the correct SF fender shields to fit late model electric golf carts? Where Same address. This time we need more cars so that we may use the polo field for parking. We're counting on you to once again provide the enthusiasm !!! forget the golf carts rent some segways like Wozniak of apple http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pnryLF-MKmc&feature=related I will be attending next year with a vehicle that will not damage the grass by oil dripping on it
OK. OK. OK. Does anyone know where I can rent 8 Segways? Six for the players, one for the referee and one spare unit to substitute for the one that we will surely crash. Also, does anyone know where I can obtain 16 of the correct “SF” fender shields to fit late model Segways? Now I'm getting anxious for the AVF Gathering 2009 already.
Yesterday I was a huntin' for some food when up from the ground come a bubblin' crude. Or so I thought when I saw all that oil in the backyard. I immediately contacted all the large crude drilling companies and bought a house in Beverly; Hills that is. And now I'll have to cancel all the contracts that I signed for the Ferraris on my wish list.
What is the current market value for German oil ??? I may just store it way until the market starts heading up again. Then sell and use the proceeds to fund the next beer bash!!
Actually, to the best of my knowledge, no oil has been found. So I'll have to come up with a new investment strategy to fund the beer purchase. Hypothetically speaking, if oil was to be found, it most certainly would have come from the weeping right rear cam seal on the engine of a '95 F355 spider. Hey that's my own car.
So how many ponies in the stable?? I used to work on some polo ponies a few years back when I lived in Florida... Post some more pics of the horses please! Jessica
Hi Jessica, Florida is Mecca for polo and it seems like there are polo stables around every corner. Up here in central New England polo is a bit more of a novelty. At Autumn View Farm we host polo on Tuesday evenings all summer - weather permitting. Usually have about 30 horses on the property for game time. Spectators are rare but always welcome. Please consider yourself to have an open invitation to the farm. We had eight horses in our barn at one time and currently we have six. One is a half Arab half Saddlebred and is no way suited for, or interested in, playing polo. He's strictly show only. Although he can complete a 10-12 mile hunter pace without breaking a sweat. That's the Arab influence. Five other horses all play polo, hunter pace and trail ride. And three of those five are also shown in Hunter classes. Although we (horses and caretakers) are all getting longer in the tooth. Coincidentally, my wife and I did an evaluation stick and ball session yesterday with two new polo prospects. They look like keepers to me but I'll have to thread my way through some tricky negotations with my wife as she's the primary caretaker for all these wonderful beings. As for photos, I'll have to try to shoot some. We don't have too many as we seem to spend a lot of our time with muck rakes in our hands. Will try to shoot some with the Fcar in the picture somewhere so that we don't go to far off FChat topic !!! Or send me an email at [email protected] and I'll send some as soon as possible. Regards Ed
Anyone feel like rolling down to Bridgeport for the Black Horse open house after our gathering? They have some incredible cars down there.
I'm probably not going to be there this weekend. I actually started taking the car apart to start my winter projects today. First thing was to get the wheel splash guards out of the way to gain access. Tomorrow all the fluids are being changed in prep for storage. My wife's due date is in a week so I am getting an early start as I know I won't have time the first few months after the baby is born. Have fun tomorrow.
