Red F430 at Peasanos yesterday around 7pm. It sounded awesome as it blew pass me on the access road. I am still a little confused on this style of license plate on this car. I have seen a couple Ferraris in SA with this Italian style plate. They all had a little sticker in the corner that said TEXAS on it so is it just a custom ordered plate or what? Somehow the dealership has convinced the owner's that those plates are legal but I don't believe they are. I've seen the plates for sale in a Griot's Garage catalog. I do know of several owner's with those plates that have been pulled over but did not receive a ticket for not having a real Texas plate.
Ferrari of San Antonio (Barrett) has a silver 430 for sale with the same type plate. I was in their showroom a few weeks ago. I was wondering about that too. It must be the latest fad? C-
I was at FoSA yesterday and I believe that car is still there. They had 9 Ferraris on the showroom floor also, the most I have seen there at one time. I asked about the plate on the silver 430 and they said it was legal. But I agree with Mike on this one and don't believe they are. I do like the look of them though.
I know of three Ferrari's and a Maserati in town with that style of plate. Being Italians, the remodeled Italian style plate suits these cars much better in my opinion. The red F430 used to have normal Texas style plates but it looks like they switched them out. These plates contain the same digits as the normal Texas style plate would, from my understanding.
Nope.....I have been getting excited every time I've been in there lately thinking that there will be one sitting there for me...but no luck yet...a couple weeks ago I was talking to a sales rep and he said they have had two go through FoSA so far. One stayed here in SA and the other went to Washington. But on a good note he said they have 3 more that will be coming through soon. So seeing that I go through FoSA at least once a week on the way home from class I should be seeing one soon if they put it on the show floor. It probably wont be there but a day or two before the owner takes delivery though....
Lamborghini LP640 Roadster and Ferrari 612 Scaglietti at a valet off 1604 yesterday night. Both cars were black on black with paddle-shift gearboxes. I also believe both were 2008 Models. I was looking through your photos on the thread and thought that it looked similar. Unfortunately since i was heading the other direction I didn't see if it had out of state tags or not.
