    Special Request...

Please take a minute or two to fill in your info on your user name so that we all can see:

    a. where you are from.
    b. what you like in cars
    c. the great choice you made on your F-car

Unfortunately, I really hate clicking on a user's info to find that it is blank with no photo and that you are from "insert catchy phrase of the day."

I was in San Diego on Business and contacted several other members to get together for a photo shoot and good discussion over lunch. Great laughs, discussions, and of course photos. Next stop - LA next week. We'll see who I find for more F-chat camaraderie...

    Thanks.

You have to be subscribed I think.
Anyway I am from Palm Beach Gardens, FL
(hopefully soon to be in North Carolina)
I like small cars that handle well (my new daily driver is a Scion xD).
A good leather smell is a plus.

You need to subscribe to have an Avatar...I have a pic 'posted', and I do not subscribe...

The issue to-be raised isn't a good one, as most Ferrari 'owners' are a secretive lot, who will NOT openly advertise their garage holdings on public forums and are fiercely protective of their privacy. This will increase during troubling economic times, as prudence dictates.

Below the area that you type is a tab that says "Manage Attachments".
Click on that, then browse for your photos.
The hit the "Upload" button to pu tthem on the Fchat server (640x480 pictures load fast, others are resized and slower).
Then click "Submit Reply" to post the response with a picture.

I agree with something mentioned above....being careful of putting personal info on the net is a good idea. Especially if you have a recognizable car.

I had a blast in San Diego on some business this weekend and had the chance to meet up with Bullfighter and friends. Took some very nice photos of the S.D. crew.

Jon, Your car photographed very nicely. I will email you tonight and start a post on the morning's festivities.

    Sorry for the delay.

    Robb

    Jon,

Use this. We have a winner. Great example of how nice your car looks.

    I loooooove it!
It is such fun to drive. A real driver's car with no electronic anything.
A manual switch for the engine fan. No carpet, insulation, roof, doors, windows....
It handles so well, you really feel like you are wearing the car instead of sitting in it.
It is British so there are tons of sqeaks and rattles, but who cares?
I like the look of the car also.
It has a very old school feel, but with a very modern and reliable drivetrain.
In case anyone is interested there is a very similar car for sale in MN right now for $25k.
I'll say that I never once regretted buying mine.
The Ferrari is a great car, very complete and competent, but if I had to choose just one, I'd probably keep the Ginetta.

Did you get it at Wire Wheel? Hayes tends to get them every once and while but I've never managed to be there at the right time to test drive one. Did you pick yours up new?

Yes, I bought it at Wirewheel in October 2006. It was built in 2002, but only had 1600 miles on it, so it was like new. I took it to the mountains a few weeks ago with some other Florida Fchatters. We had a blast, and the Ginetta performed incredibly. I put some Azenis RT615 tires on it, what a difference! 1300-1400 pounds is the key to the car. I sure hope the trend for Ferrari becomes lighter weight. The horsepower race is really kind of silly. I read a Robb Report article about a new Cobra type car with 800 hp. Who can utilize that???
My car would dyno at around 100hp, and was probably the quickest car through the mountains in our group.
A few pictures from the trip.
