They went out today, the US rep just sent me the UPS tracking #. I expect to receive them Friday or Saturday. As soon as I have the exact date they're arriving, I'll make up labels & they'll go out the next day!! Best guess is that they'll ship next Monday, but there's a chance they'll go out Saturday.

I've ordered a reasonable amount of extra ones, so if anyone needs a bezel, feel free to send me an order. Price is $129/bezel with FREE shipping! See post #133 in this thread for ordering info.

I also have unscratchable label sets on the shelf for all Ferrari models that used these labels. See this thread:

The bezels arrived on schedule Thursday PM. The production bezels look even better than the final production sample!

    PRE-ORDERS SHIPPED:
I packed up all the pre-orders yesterday & they went out via USPS Priority Mail this AM. You should have them Wednesday or Thursday.

Yes, I have plenty of bezels and label sets in stock, orders welcome :D

    Verell,

I'm all done with my Dino rear reflector bezel group buy & sale. Went well and all were happy with the results. Any chance you will be doing bezel labels for us Dino owners? I suspect lots of 206/246 Forum folks would be interested. We've discussed it before.

Well, Drats! I've been subscribed to the wrong thread! Dah! I'll order soon - - good winter project. Have you thought about advertising the bezels and the labels in the monthly FCA NewsBulletin classified? It's free if you are a member and it goes to around 5000 members.

I've got the disc knob mold designed on my CAD system. Have started machining the inserts that form the slots the levers slip into. PITA bit of precision machining & have to polish to a mirror finish. Spent a day on 1st one & discovered it was a several thou undersize after polishing. Will get back on it after the holidays.

    re: recent PMs
Yes, the lever bezels & labels are in stock for immediate shipment.

Bezel price is $129/bezel with FREE shipping! See post #133 in this thread for ordering instructions.

Label pricing & info varies with your car, see the latest posts to this thread:

    Hi ,

Any plans to do the levers? I broke my rh heater lever on my 76 308 GTB, and need a new one, ideally Ill replace all of them.

The OEM plastic bezels will break long before the lever fails. If convenient, please post a picture of the broken lever, I'd like to see how it failed.

Are you sure it's the lever that broke & not the tab on the bezel's back that has the pivot hole for the lever?

The levers are readily available used in very good condition for small $ from just about any place that parts out 3x8s. I think I'd just be competing with the breakers, so have no plans to make the levers at this time.

Billy, beautiful! Fantastic improvement. I've got the bezels and labels for my Dino. It's one of my winter projects starting in a few days. Please tell me more about the teflon cable - - recommended brand, source. Black? Are these normally for bikes?

Teflon cable housing was mentioned in previous threads along with mail order sources however since I didn't plan this very well I just stopped by the local bicycle shop & paid $2 bucks a foot for teflon lined shifter cable housing. Works so smooth the springs on the carbs pull the choke off themselves so I have to hold the choke on. Its black, looks just like the original, & slid right thru the tube from eng compartment to passenger compartment. I re used the original choke cable/wire after a little sanding , cleaning & silicon spray.

Billy, I never thought I'd see the day that someone says this about the choke cable: "Works so smooth the springs on the carbs pull the choke off themselves so I have to hold the choke on." Amazing! I can hardly wait to start this project and see similar results on the Dino, hopefully. Much thanks for the info. Enjoy!

Is the choke lever bezel the same size as the heat/temp bezel on the 1973 series 246 GTS Dino?

    Thanks

    They turned out very well!

Scott, I finished my cockpit re-do in April, which included replacing all 4 bezels and labels that came from Verell. Those babies are little works of art. The choke bezel was the same as the other 3 on my '74 Dino. Odds are very high that would apply to a '73 as well. Btw, my choke cable had seized inside the original wire-wrapped sheathing so I went to my local John Deere dealer with the old cable in hand and bought one of their universal choke cable assemblies, about $28. The black plastic sheathing O.D. is perfect, it has a white plastic liner (Teflon-like) and the center metal wire is precisely the right O.D. for the attachment point on the carb choke control mechanism. For the first time in 32 years, I can actually control the chokes. I'll rarely use them, but I know when I do, they will operate correctly.

    Have fun,

    Bill

Scott, to the best of my knowledge the '73 Dinos used the same bezels as the '74 Dinos.

BTW, just received another mfg. run, the bezels are now back in stock. My machine shop was able to hold the current price for this batch, but I was warned that most likely the price would go up next time ordered them.

Hey, I bought Bill's SSteel Dino rear reflector housing Bezels so these are right up my alley!

If I order 4 bezels and the "vintage" unscratchy labels may i combine the free shipping?

Since folks will probably buy these in matching sets of Bezels PLUS labels, thought of making it a grouping?

Then again, this just might be a solicitous act to push this thread to the top of the heap.

Beautiful job! Did you have to source the black switch knobs too? If so, where did you find them?

Scott, those reflector bezels aren't SSteel, they are polished Al. Mine have been on for about 6 mos. (about 1000 miles) and look great. I polished them once with Mother's Al Polish.
Btw, on a recent long weekend trip (about 700 miles) into the mountains of West Virginia with 21 other exotics, I turned 70,000 miles on the Dino. Attached is a pix taken at a scenic overlook near Snowshoe, WV - - Dino with "non-concours" wheels and Bridgestone 225/50ZR-16s

    Hi Scott,
I'm traveling with very limited internet access until 14 Sept I'll try to respond to your eMAIL & PMs, but it may not happen till I'm back home. Tonight I seem to have web page but not email access(sigh).

Yes, I'll combine the 'free' shipping for a set of 4 bezels + a set of labels.
