Was at a car show this weekend that had Pininfarina senior car designer Maurizio Corbi there. When asked what his favorite car was that was designed by someone else he said the Lamborghini Miura http://www.speedandmotion.com/pictures/enderleconcours08/slides/mauriziocorbi.html
Colin Chapman seems to advising Jim Clark against testing the Miura prototype! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I thought i would like to sare some pictures with you all of the Miura i deatiled in april '08, I also had the pleasure colecting this car from the client since that day ive been hooked on the Miura! It came to me in a poor state, ss after a week of machining the body work, removing the wheels, cleaning the engine with a tooth brush & the front end with a tooth brush, she looked beautiful - almost like new! We were exibiting at a show here in Monaco called Top Marques where on the stand we had an Aston DB2/4 in Connaught Green but enroute from its home it switzerland the engine blew at 140 KPH obliterating the block! The client of the Miura said 'would you like to use my car?' well how could we refuse, we had a stand with no car on it now so this was perfect! thank god i had finished the detail! Here are some pictures of before, during & finished car on our stand. Before During After on our stand.... There you go - in all i loved the car i never wanted to let it go!! 5 Weeks after that it was badly damaged by fire.
Ive read in a book that in 1971 it was sent to the factory for an SV engine (this is documented by Lamborghini i think) Also thanks for the comments. Darren

OMG!!! Would you look at that.............. pure pornography that is! Joe im going to report you for posting rude images!!
http://www.joesackey.com/galleryupload/albums/Batch%20Add%20Files/Miura%20SV%204884%20wins%20Best%20in%20Class%20at%20LA%20Concours/Miura_SV_4884_wins_Best_in_Class_at_LA_Concours-03.JPG hey Joe, is this that old plate frame from Italy? i'd be very happy it would have ended up on this car!!
thanks for the reply Joe. ok i did have an ulterior motive for posting this question-i was chatting with the man who looks after my f-car when miura's came up in the conversation & he casually mentions that he actually owns none other than the original chassis still with virgin engine/gearbox attached.he apparently bought it from the lamborghini factory in 1975. any thoughts?
I gave the one you sent to a man who showed his car at Pebble Beach. Apparently, the judges were most impressed!
will ask him if he has any...his garage is in the UK but the "miura" is in Cypress from whence he originates.
Surely you mean Cyprus? Cypress is a town 30 mins from me in California... I wasn't aware the factory kept this chassis another 10 years.
