Dude, that part of the street exemplifies gentrification! How were the ladies?

Don't see anything modern about that house, Edward...

    Nice, ummm, columns.

probably not modern, but a modern interpretation of traditional. very nice elements anyways. the copper cladding is unique. suits the site perfectly.

Here are three properties located near me.

First house is up for grabs at a cool $29.5 million..
    http://www.mcmoniglegroup.com/listing_detail.php?ID=362&whatPage=home

Second house is ocean front as well, and all glass and beam. Very cool. Sold for about $14 million close to 2 years ago. Owner gutted the inside and redesigned it to his standards.

The rest of the pictures is from a project called Cannery Lofts. There are 22 units that start around $1.7 million and go up to $4 million for the bay-fronts. They are all 2 bed/2 bath with great offices on the first floor. Located in the best area of Orange County (in my opinion). This project gives off a cool vibe, unlike anything around. See more: http://cannerylofts.com

    Here's a current listing: http://homgroup.com/homListing_detail.asp?PropertyID=10756

I'd like to know more about this too, only with aluminum and wood. Ive seen a few houses around here with that style. Something I'd like to own one day.

Anyone know what this style is called?

I'm soooo happy I stumbled upon this thread. I've been looking for a modern home in Beverly Hills / Los Angeles for the past 8 months. I've been in escrow 3 times and have pulled out for various reasons. This thread has kept me inspired! :)

guys, funny how things work out... i stumble across this thread and find some amazing houses. my wife and i are building on a 10 acre lot overlooking the lake (or what used to be a lake before the drought). we have very modern tastes and this has inspired us to build a pretty modern home(can't go ultra modern due to living in south carolina, won't fit in really :) ). here's a link i found to some really cool houses. check them out, well worth your time...

thanks again for the inspiration. if anyone knows of any cool places to find one level modern homes, give me a shout! what some of these home plans websites call modern is funny.
