Wait, so it's not an LM anymore? :D

What about the bizarre "modificato" (or whatever term it was that was invented to describe it) - what happened to that term?

This time they are at least describing it honestly, even if the price is anything but...

    Hmm...

    let's take a Franken-car worth maybe $200k,

polish it up with a BS story that was already debunked on the intarw3bs,

cleverly omit the fact that Mother's pulled the sponsorship because of said BS story,

and VIOLA: a car worth double a regular, non-completely-destroyed-in-a-firey-crash F40!

    GENIUS!

Someone dig PT Barnum out of his grave, cause I'm sure his body is rolling spastically right now.

    But maybe you'll say,

"Ryan, you don't understand: this car has BEEN SEEN ON TV! It was in a commercial for MOTHER'S WAX! During the Formula One races of 2004, which were viewed by SEVENTY FOUR Americans, this car was shown and riveted those seventy-three elderly men and Euro-hipsters. This car's image will live through the ages as the one that for 4.63 seconds captured the heart of several dozen carnuba-buying car buffs.

And that's what makes this F40 worth $350,000 more than one that has never been completely destroyed in a track accident, and $650,000 more than one that has."

Yes, they seemed to have left out the sale to the porn-peddling confidence man with a slightly incorrect "F40LM" title.

What is the story with the huge vents on the hood? Is this even correct?

It's correct when you are building it from the ground up.
