I hardly call sitting at Imola watching F1 for two years in a row a procession with the MS-FA battles at the end! Neither was Magny Cours with JT and RB on last lap.....etc. oh well... Carol
Rain in 10 minutes... wow, that could really change things up. Question: They started the race late... what is the maximum time the race can run? I know it's capped.... what will happen first... rain comes down or race gets called? This probably plays into Hamiltons hands. He can let Vettel go, and just mirror whatever Massa does. Heiki is 15 seconds behind in P6 so he has a huge buffer where he can drive very easily the last few laps to avoid a wreck so long as Heiki can run interference Hell, hamilton could run 3 seconds off pace the last 4 laps and still get P5 to win the WDC (the only contest that matters)
You aren't accounting for personality conflicts. In virtually every sport you have to have a number 1 and a number 2 or you end up with people that won't work well together. Kimi and Felipe getting along so well is exceedingly rare.
In the perfect world maybe, but you are forgetting about ego and the competitive nature of any true F1 driver.
what if the supporting cast member turns out to be a formidable opponent, to the "TOP" driver? (see Alonso v Hamilton in 2007)
