Glock should be strung up by his toes, that was awful driving.

I really don't think that any F1 driver who is in 4th place on the last lap is going to just give away his position. If he was in 10th, maybe.

Last year's championship finale was fixed, in my opinion. This one looked reasonable.

Oh boy - are we going to have to endure a whole year of this?

Kubica held up Hamilton... he was racing him to unlap himself for no reason. If it was Massa that was held up by Kubica, people would be calling for his head on a platter.

Glock was on slick tires. The track was soaking wet. He was multiple seconds per lap slower. What do you guys want - him to crash out? He had nothing to gain... he was driving his own race, trying to get to the end, avoiding an accident. The only reason he was up in 5th anyway was because he had taken a gamble and decided to stay out on slicks. It paid off because he finished higher up the grid than otherwise.

There is nothing untoward going on. Remember when Barrichello put on wet tires when everyone else was on dry tired and was putting multiple tens of seconds per lap on the field? Thats the difference between wet and dry.

Hamilton won fair and square, period. Glock had nothing to do with it other than happenning to be further up the grid than he would otherwise be... unfortunately, not far ENOUGH up the grid to stymie Hamilton's WDC bid.

Was he lying when he said he was barely able to keep it on track and just couldn't do anything? He said that right in the last couple laps the rain came and screwed him...

Glock and Toyota have no relationship with McLaren. They have no motive other than to perform the best they can for their own sake. In fact, the whole reason they stayed out on dry tires was to try to get further up the field than they otherwise would - and it worked. Glock wasn't a 5th place runner until he decided to stay out. His strategy worked perfectly.

He was on dry tires in a slow car on a wet track, with Hamilton in a much faster McLaren behind him on wet tires. It was inevitable that he would get passed. Clearly Hamilton was running a much faster lap time because Hammy was able to catch him pretty quickly.

I doubt Glock knew the consequences of Hamilton passing him, and I doubt he cared much either... he was focusing 100% on doing what his strategy called for - keeping it on track to get a better-than-normal result, and that's exactly what he did.

My guess is, yes. Because obviously the determining moment from the entire season was the final mile.

I think his teammmate Trulli was also on slicks and he too lost 17 seconds on that last lap. But for anyone to fairly judge if it was a set up we'd have to look at lap times any other non-Toyota running slicks at the same time, anyone got that info?

    :)

It's going to be a tough 12 months for the Lewis haters. Many arguments have been rendered impotent... the "let him win a WDC and then we'll see" comments can no longer be used to rebut comparisons between Lewis and Alonso or Lewis and Schumi or Lewis and Kimi. I predict the response will instead turn to "well, let him win MORE than 1 WDC and then we'll see".

yep, gonna be a loooong cold winter 'round here.

As far as I am concerned SPA should have been number 6.
