Just something I was thinking about. The Burger King ads really need to stop--yesterday! And Miller is driving their "Livin' the High Life" thing into the ground. First with too many of the same thing, then the radio call-in spots, and now their Miller 64 ads.

A few years ago, 7UP had commercials with the announcer saying at the end "Make 7UP yours". Up yours? Who the hell green-lighted that?

The new Volkswagen ads with Brooke Shields are very, very stupid.

Some funny mofo -- those were brilliant.

Obvious, but the Mac v. PC are genius as well -- especially the new ones that blast MS for spending more on ads than fixing Vista -- it's like a political attack ad that makes you laugh.

I agree with you 100%. Incredibly stupid. The final shot with the ancient Beetle making some inane comment into a microphone is just the icing on the cake.

However nothing bugs me more than the Coke comemrcials with the brain, the eyeball and the tongue. WTF is that all about?

As David St. Hubbins said in This is Spinal Tap, "It's such a fine line between stupid, and clever."

P.S. The endless eHarmony campaign has been getting on my nerves for about 6 months. Get matched on 282 levels of deep, deep, deep compatability.

Those are the first ads that came to mind when I read this thread. I hate them!

Of course, any ads that comes up in this thread would be deemed a success simply because we remember them.

The thing I hate about those commercials is that they are trying to pass of the VW Routan as a car designed by VW when all it is is a Chrysler Town and Country with VW written on the front.

There is a radio ad around here for a dentist that promises "a new smile!"

Well, I guess www.anewsmile.com was taken, so they used a nu smile dot com.

    www.anusmile.com

    LOL

I wish eHarmony would go out of business. And I'm tired of those freecreditreport.com commercials. You can't even get a free credit report off it anyways.

You'll want to pay particular attention to the way that those feet are facing. ;)
