DETROIT -- Two carjackers led state police on a high-speed chase in a Maserati through Detroit. One carjacker is hospitalized after crashing the Maserati at the intersection of Margaretta and Birwood streets and the other carjacker is at large. The state police cruiser chasing the stolen Maserati and two other SUVs were also damaged in the chase. However, the suspect in the Maserati was the only person injured. Police said the carjacking started when two men shot a man at his home on Cheyenne Street and stole his Maserati. The victim is in critical condition. --------------- Hopefully the owner pulls through. I don't recognize the car, but it had bigger aftermarket wheels, and looked black, or dark blue.
Hopefully he's OK. Not exactly the best place to have a Maserati. If you have a Maserati, why live there?
Heard about this last night on the news but couldn't find a link. According to the report, the car-jacker is a suspect in some murders or something. Hopefully the owner makes a full recovery.
How stupid do you have to be to carjack a Maserati? An Escalade, a Lexus, a Mercedes...ok but a Maserati? What really sucks is shooting the owner. I hope he will pull thru ok. Mean people suck....stupid mean people with guns really suck. ken
Unfortunatley, looks like the owner of the Maserati is paralyzed http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2008808180388 - hope it's one of those cases where the paralysis isn't permanent
The victim was my customer. His sister just dropped by the dealership no more than 20 minutes ago. She told me that he didn't make it. I was shocked. I talked to him on the phone maybe 2 weeks ago. He sounded like his old self. He wanted to come in and check out a car he was interested in. Unbelievable. He was such a nice guy. My heart goes out to his family. RIP Anthony.
Was she in there getting the car fixed? That would be rough having to deal with that after the passing of your brother. I am about to go to a funeral on Friday for a friend who has had two of her brothers shot and killed in less than a year. It is crazy.
OK Mr. Troll, I take that back. I wish yo cuz had gotten run over by the Maz, suffering 3rd degree burns to 100% of his body so that he could suffer BEFORE he died.
Mr Troll hopefully your outstanding citizen cuz will get the death penalty. What a pathetic person that would do this to someone else. RIP
What absolute scum of the earth. Also, how completely stupid do you have to be to steal / carjack a Maserati? Yah...your not going to be spotted in that!
While I dont really believe you actually have any association with the actual perpetrators due to the REDICULOUS amount of stupidity it would take for your dumb ass to come on here and make a post like this. With that being said, I would have preferred you been in the street when the maserati come plowing throuhg the intersection. One less jackass in the world like you and we are one step closer to making this world a better place. Now go to school and learn to speak jackass.....
Really tragic story,I remember watching it as Breaking News on 7. Sorry to hear of his passing. What I do find funny is that even after this happened he was still in good spirits and interested in another car. Anyone know what car he was interested in? If I remember correctly it was a Black over Tan Maserati GranTurismo? Also was the man from Detroit? I thought I heard Bloomfield... My regards to his family, --Chris
Its sad my brother life had to be taken for a car and he's going to be missed, although it also gives me peace at night knowing that the person who did this will pay for it that can never replace my brother nor can it stop the hurt and pain.I would like to thank everyone who sent their condolences and blessing out to our family they are much appreciated also I would like to thank dan for selling us a nice car that he loved and got to enjoy!
Once again, I am very sorry about your brother Anthony. I know nothing can replace him. I am however, glad to know that you and your family are doing better. Is the Granturismo still in your possession? If so, enjoy it in good health. Chris
