    Hi all,

I had a friend who got a F360 which installed with capistro exhaust. But since the exhaust is very hot and some of the plastic parts near rear grill had melted. So he suggested if install exhaust for F360, some heat protection sheet need to be added.

    Anyone have this experience?

Yes, I went through all this when I was fitting a Capristo to my 360 a year ago. There is heat shielding fitted as standard, and as far as I am aware as long as this has not been removed you should be ok. I did find that there was a lot of additional heat build up but nothing melted, but I did fit a challange grill after a couple of months to aid cooling. ( and it looks cool)

Capristo folklore refers to one 360 that did have a panel melt, in Europe I think, and this was because the standard heat shielding had been removed.

If you know any different please post. The standard heat shielding is nothing fancy, looks like silver foil glued to the panels.

Thanks. As the weather in HK is very warm and it is very hot in the summer. I think it is better to have heat protective shield if install afternarket exhaust as the position of the exhaust will be much higher than the OEM exhaust.

I have a Capristo and Challenge grill with the standard factory heat shielding and have encountered no problems at all.....but I do live in the UK where it's not so warm!
