Just got my rims back and feel rather pleased with them. the company are used to doing mag rims, one needed a repair after I took a chunk out of it last year, they also found it a little buckled and so welded new bit in and sorted that out as well.
Just need some new rubber all round now. Think Ill try the new compound pirelli for next season.

Very cool Drew! They look awesome and looks like they did a GREAT job! :D:D

Are they powder coated or painted mate? :):)

    You sure can Jay. ;);)

Apparently, the early stock 355 wheels have a higher Mg content then the later 355 wheels. So the earlier wheels are a little harder to repair because of the higher Mg content, but can still be done if the repairer takes his time and does the job properly. :):)

Painted me old pap. You can even see the letters on them clearly now without numerous coats over them!

Yes re the welding, a firm who had been successful with a mend on a previous set of rims couldn't do these no matter what they tried. came back looking nice and fell out within 5 mins. certainly pays to get it done properly.

HAHAHAHA!!!! Funny you mention that....Yea, no wish to sell now. Although not sure what mine will look like. I am doing a textured satin black finish.... The powdercoat guy has the same color on his truck and it looks awesome... The chip resistance of the texture is 5 times stronger than a plain gloss finish... So hopefully no chips, suffs or scratches..

As I will be switching to 355CH wheels, I have 360CH (actually they are 430GT 5-bolt version) white wheels + good Pirellis for sale. See pic if any 348 "brother" is interested. All for modest 1400£ inc bolts, see pic. :D

I got 3 sets (so totally 24 stickers) of Speedline and Corse stickers made for 17£ (27$) here in UK to my 355CH wheels.

Thanks mate, as much as I love them I think I will save my money and keep the stock 348 wheels on it. :):)

    Nice wheels mate. :):)

IIRC 8x18 and 10x18, running 225/40 and 285/35 tyres. I have 355CH wheels and now selling these as I have recently paid for new gearbox, Tubi, crema 360 carbon fibre seats etc etc etc plus ran out of storage space :D :D

I'm about ready to get 3 sets of 355 C wheels repaired (if needed) and painted. Right now 2 are white and 1 red, thinking about a two-tone paint job they do black/white. We'll see. For race wheels they can also do extra layers of something like clear coat for durability.
