308 328 348 Modial GT4 in Hong kong

One of my friend has both Mondial 3.2tb and Mondial 3.2 cab in Hong Kong. I can ask him to come out if you join me for morning drive on Sunday.

 

Not sure if he still posts, but Mike Draeger has a stunning red 348in Hong Kong and gets out to Luk Keng every now and then. I did see another 3x8, possibly a 328 I think when I was last in HK in '06!

I don't think there are any GT4s left?

 

I am sure there is at least one 308 GT4 in HK. Its blue and it has been abandoned for at least 10 years as far as I know.

The first time I saw it was back in 1996 covered in dust. Along with this car are two red 308s, abandoned as well.

Very likely they belong to the same owner.

 

I have two friends who both bought GT4s in HK back in the early 90s. Both have now shipped them to UK. One of them, a red one, is now in Belfast and the other, which I think is blue is in Newmarket. One of the guys still lives in HK. I can ask him if he knows about any other GT4s.

My dad's first Fcar was a GT4. Is your friend's car two tone with Red/Black?

 

Correction - The car was changed back to all red by IMSS before it was sold, guess I was too young to remember that!

 

This was the response from my friend who still lives in HK but shipped his GT4 to UK a few years ago.

"I thought that I had the only blue GT4, but there were definitely another one or two GT4s, mostly red but at least one white one. As I said my GT4 was on display at the Repulse Bay for the official launch of the 550, and used quite frequently before shipping to the UK at the end of 1998. I am not aware of any other GT4s currently being used in HK."
