Yes cell phone is #4. I have yet to meet a patient, no matter how poor, unemployed, dependent that did not bring a cell phone to the office.

You completely forgot TV, it's crazy how people love their stories on the tube.... or the hi def flat panel. I didn't own a TV for a couple years and people really acted like I was missing out on something.

And the sad part is many are on welfare. Those of us who pay taxes are paying for their friggin' cell phones.

There is definitely something wrong here!

I work for a company that manufactures components for Telecom infrastructure. If anyone remembers when Benazir Bhutto was killed around last Christmas, I was watching CNN and they showed people immediately after taking pictures of the bomber's head with their cell phones.

Then it came to me what a great industry I was in. Here were people without toilets, but they had a cell phone (apparently a nicer one than mine!).

Probably a couple of items on the list fall into this category, but ENTERTAINMENT is one of the top items on the majority of people's list, right behind having a couple of bucks in your pocket for a chicken chalupa from Taco Bell.
