http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/motorsport/formula_one/7718682.stm No, I am not talking about the engine cost cut, but rather his genuine reaction.... haha ====================================== Montezemolo also revealed that he smashed a television set after watching McLaren's Lewis Hamilton snatch the world title from Felipe Massa at the final Grand Prix of the season at Interlagos. "I broke the television, I must tell the truth," he said. "When a television breaks it makes a terrible bang. My daughter in the other room was given an awful fright. "Luckily we had another television so I was able to watch the podium ceremony, which I enjoyed." ======================================
Horrors: non-constructors might not be able to compete ... in a constructors' championship. Max, go work for CART or Formula Atlantic, if you're that desperate for a spec series. Oh, but a six car grid was credible? Heck, the cameras only pay attention to the top four. What did those back markers accomplish, this year, other than getting in the way while a lap down? Translation: Bernie/Max are worried that *their* cut from F1 might be reduced, with a smaller grid. (Max might have to cut his parties to only one Nazi hooker?) Want to cut costs? How about cutting Bernies fees? Or stop micro-managing the series, so you might attract some *real* constructors. (Ever wonder why Porsche/Audi/Lambo shun F1?)
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20081110/od_nm/us_motor_racing_ferrari;_ylt=Aln9ULLzTab0ykMVx91SQrCs0NUE I only slightly agree with him on Kimi. Good to see Italian energy not lacking.
When halfway through the last lap it looked like Massa would be WDC? Am I right??? What did i win!!??
i don't think Luca normally attends the Brazilian GP. come to think about it only San Marino and Monza are on his calender. i mean, he wasn't even there for Schumi's last race.
err, san marino hasnt been on the list for some years now (shame, quite like the imola circuit). I didnt throw anything. I was close to celebrating the last lap but had a feeling. at the last corner i started to celebrate as lewis was far back. then i was shouting murder things towards glock.
I felt like smashing something at that point as well. But I got over it. Elvis did things right! It is a rare occasion that LdM actually shows up at a GP.
ah for me, my heart was beating the fastest it has ever beat in my life. i just could not believe Massa was champion for a few secs...then..it was all over.
+1 That is horrible. I had a great time at the 2003 race there. Another classic track going away. Glad I got to go while it was still around. The town was wonderful, the people very friendly, truly a loss in my opinion.
Sorta +1 It was all you said, but F1 had clearly outgrown Imola: When I was there it felt like being at a go kart race. But that doesn't mean it had to come down altogether. The space in the park was a limiting factor for growth and change as we saw with the Tamburello turn after 94.
LOL well yes, but not all for the reasons you may think, IMO the right person won, LH won because he had more points over the season than anyone else. And that's despite the FIA pathetic judgements to keep it a close title fight. And partly for all the LH bashers/naysayers on here.. Having said that, IMO Massa missing out, gained more respect by losing it, than winning it, as he was gracious in defeat. So I would say it's a very good job done by both drivers. and congrat's to them both.
