Nope I really think this is where they will trade if not lower. I think all cars will trade at least 50% less than they would today before they find a bottom which I think they will bounce around for at least 5 years. Cutting to the chase a 4 cam sold at RM in August for 2MM. A nice restored 4 Cam sold post RM London for 960K three months later. Take that a resto is worth 300K a unrestored 4 Cam whole sale is 600K today. Enzo's high tick was 1.5MM. This one will wholesale at the price No Doubt suggested. (Buyer will have to pay a bit more). I think Enzo's will fall to 350K before they stabilise. This is really what I think.
    MANY disagree with me.

$350k for an Enzo??? I think you are shorting Enzo's.

Is there a hedge fund that I can get into that does this?

I hope this Enzo finds a new home!

On a side note, since predictions are floating about Enzo's and pricing and a 30-50% fee to own now, are you thinking we will see F50's south of 500k?

How can that possibly be? With the exception of a fire sale why would anyone sell a no story Enzo for $500k? Sorry to be the contrarian but IMO too much support to break through to get to $500k.

$550k, not $500k. And that's in 8+ months. Dollar gains. Deflation. World economies tanking. Children sold to feed their parents...you know...the works!

    The long way home
The RM sale in London saw an F50 go for well below $500k, including premiums. If Enzos are going to $550k, F50s will be $350 or less...

Put my money where my mouth is. $550k I am a buyer. Not a tire kicker. Almost want to say regardless of economic climate.

Time to start saving, and if it sells to 350k, ... many of us would be able to afford it. ... I really hope it would reach that level....

I am not suggesting that your post is BS. I take you at your word that you have a car that is a serious bargain. I am not trying to insult you at all.

However, my comment is simple . . . if you tell someone that they "must act now; act today" then you have to look at your buyer. It is my experience that people with money will simply wait until later or tomorrow.

It is now "tomorrow," so if the car is still around, I guess my comment was accurate. If not, I am just saying . . .

I never said that anyone: "must act now; act today". I said if they did the cost would be less. That is proving to be true.

I've passed on several names and wish everyone luck. Looks like this will happen today.

What's wrong with some of you guys... Jim offers up a lead on a desirable car being sold below market... and some start giving him grief...

I'm actually interested to see what the car transacts at... IMHO, like it or not, that is market...

Keep the leads coming Jim. And thank you!

As for the bottom, so many expensive parts on the modern cars... that will depress prices IMHO.

I was recently offered a perfect 575SA for what most 575's are listed at... I'm afraid of the roof! Anyone know what a replacement costs???

Now if it had been a black/black 550 barchetta...

The market in this sector is global hence prices have to be put in the right context. In this instance it is worth bearing in mind the dollar-pound exchange rate.

Yes the F50 was cheap in Dollar terms, but in Pound Sterling terms I believe the price was just over £300k, three months ago that would be nearly $600k, today almost $450 give or take. £300k is where the UK market is + or - 10% and has generally been in that range for the past couple of years, certainly it has not had the same degree of oomph that the Enzo and F40 market has had during the same period. IMVHO.

Jim good luck with helping this seller and buyer on a very good deal. As Simon has stated, I am not sure why anyone can be giving you grief. You are keeping your cool as per usual and it's just water under the bridge. :)

Please let us know how this transpires.

    Cheers,

One thing to ponder, if Jim is right everything else will be worth 60% less also. So the buyers today might think twice when their houses and all other assets are worth 50% less also. Plus how many of you want to deal with the maintenance and "issues" on a Enzo, when one of those breaks I hear it's prohibitively expensive - as we all know.

Thanks Jim, its great to have such a solid source

    Interesting times.

    F50chap, the market is global.

On the 246 board they are wondering aloud if prices are falling......................

The prices arent global for the F50. If you want the London car, factor in an additional $100k to have it federalized. Which brings it to $600k.
