Ugh. Sure there are some excellent McLarens and Ferraris, but I actually find his collection largely unremarkable. I mean the ratio of cool cars to utterly useless and vain crap is terrible.

What a complete jerk. Buying stuff just to buy it. If he drove and appreciated the cars, that would be different. But just buy stuff he can never use, the height of jerkiness IMHO.

    11 Porsche 959's?!
    9 F-40's?!
    8 F-50's?!

That's just awful. Wonder how many are sitting with flat tires and dead batteries at this moment.

I'm sure this question has been posed before, but: what happens when he kicks the bucket? At some point there's gotta be a massive sell off, if just for the old body style Mercs, BMW's and such.

I've really got a crush on this little number (this is one of the few "conversions" that was done with any taste, IMO)

That beauty is my dream car. I'm tempted to say that if I could only have one car, that would be it.

Quite a number of these cars have long since been sold discretely to various righthand drive markets. Some are in the UK, some in New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong etc. Talacrest (see www.talacrest.com) are currently offering two ex-Brunei cars for sale: a RHD F40 and a RHD F50. Cretainly, as regards to the Ferraris, many of the cars listed in the original post are no longer in Brunei.

All Volvos in the list are either trucks or coaches. Most of the Yamahas are golf cars.

    Now the F90s...

I used to talk to the sultans nephew on a ham radio set back when I worked on tuna boats out in the middle of the pacific. That was back when they were building the barn for the polo ponies.
He was a really nice guy, unassuming, and easy going. He invited me to come for a visit a couple times, but being young and dumb I never took him up on it. Wish I would have now, if for nothing more than the great adventure it would have been.
