I was cleaning out my room yesterday, and I found the Pininfarina folder that you sent me with the Car and Driver article and the note. I just wanted to say, again, thank you for giving me one of my fondest memories, and to think that you were willing to allow a 15 year old kid the chance to see a piece of automotive history just shows how gracious you are.

Thanks again Jim. Hope you are doing well.

I'm sure this has been discussed before but I was reading an article from Classic Driver on P4/5 and came across this:

"It’s actually a ‘green’ vehicle - we used a coating for the oil and water radiators developed by Englehard/BASF that makes them a liquid-cooled catalytic converter...this car is zero emissions and the air passing through it is cleaner on exit (the ozone converted to oxygen).

Is this saying that the emissions out of the V12 of P4/5 is rivalling Civics and other small cars for cleanliness? Or do I have this all wrong?

As far as ozone goes, it's actually cleaner than a Civic.

That's easy, but the question is do you want the same level of drivability after we're done? ;)

In all seriousness, contact Bosch, what they have done with fuel cuts is pretty amazing...

Not bad at all about 18 mpg on the highway. On the track somewhat less...

    Jim,

I have heard some Enzo's average around 21-22 MPG highway. Do you think the difference is between you and your right foot, the different shape/design of P4/5, or just insignificant?

    Thanks.

My 18 was just a guess. It may be more. P 4/5 is lighter than an Enzo and has better aero so it's likely better.

I was telling my roommate about this car when I realized I have no idea how to pronounce the name.

Is it "P four fifths" or "P four five"??
