Just curious how the used F-430 market is holding up with the world economic situation now? I was told by two dealers (Illinois and Florida), alot of lookers without their check books.

I think the 05 coupes are feeling it a bit but not tanking.... The dealers are allways dead thru the holiday season.

Inventory is rapidly rising... can only mean 1 thing...

only way to increase demand is to lower the price...

Ferrari Beverly Hills has a beautiful red 2005 6-Speed coupe with 1900 miles and I heard they were pricing it aggressively, as in under $160K.

I wish I could have taken my local dealer up on an offer of a brand new F430 coupe at MSRP coming in. Unexpected call and I am not ready to take delivery going into the winter and lack of storage space at the moment. The point being that a year ago it would have been a pipe dream for a customer who has never purchased a Ferrari from a dealer to get a call like that... with all the waiting lists and all.

430 market is dying in the ass here in Australia, just like it is around the rest of the world. :D:D

Here is the cheapest 430 in Australia that I have seen advertised. A gorgeous 2006 F1 with 3900 miles for AU $360,800.

That is US $239,100. Nice car!! I would love to own it. Has the optional CF seats and "challenge" style wheels. :):)

Ive seen a few 430's advertised for 140k
Im thinking about a 430 or a 360 challenge, but Ill need to part with my 355 in order to do so.

That's what I'm thinking. lots of cars available with less mileage... I'd be offering on those first...

I think the prices will continue to come down a bit.

Multiply this by thousands and you have a very weak market.

Looking around a bit may jump in if I find the right deal....I think it will be a long winter and prices could slide a bit more. The looming question is..... with supply drying up on new cars coming out of Italy dealers have been told not to expect much this coming year.....The current inventory could wash thru when sun comes out and everyone stops watching CNBC AND KRAMER.....The valley is here and there are still rich people who will want the Ferrari!! SOO we should see prices stablize in the spring...MY TWO CENTS BEN

Agree, confirmed today from my local Ferrari Dealer that Ferrari North America told all dealers BIG, BIG reduction in new 430 deliveries effective immediately. With a few exceptions i.e. the high mileage or distress sales, not seeing used 430's pouring into the market now, in fact, less total cars on Ebay than a week ago. Is supply going to dry up sooner.....(December/January)....or later.....(Spring/Summer 09)? When to jump in and not lose the opportunity is the big question.

Same here about 10-15% price reduction on new & used F430, due to World financial crisis and Pound Sterling depreciation against Thai Baht.

    Good time for buyers.

I had my 308 on the market for sale, and got so many opportunistic low offers, I pulled it, and am going to hang on to it. I figured I'd buy the car at those offers, and I'm not trying to buy. I think most owners have too much into them purchase wise, and service wise to bail out for below "market" numbers. The poor economy and bad market motivates me to drive it and enjoy it. But first I better get a job to pay for the gas.
