Le Coq places its own rather flashy chassis ID plates on the frame of cars they restore (I wonder what they do with the originals?).

Trouble is, somebody needs to tell them that the "LP" designation applies to the Countach with its engine's "Longitudinale" disposition.

For the Miura, its just P400. Of course...

    I guess it's a "LeCoq" now, not a Lamborghini.

    Big Deal ;)

if this thing is attached where the original was....it is quite a mistake....and they have quite an EGO!

as a secondary plate attesting when and where the resto was done i could understand it

the LP mistake is pretty sad :(

At least the date on the new masked plate is appropriate for wearing a mask!

Didn't Wallace install a plate on one of your prior SV's indicating that he had rebuilt the engine? Admittedly much more tasteful than the abomination posted, but still a bit over the top me thinks. Thank goodness Gary does not do that.

Yes I remember a plate (not from Wallace) and I got rid of it. Agreed about Gary. He thinks his work sorta speaks for itself. I tend to agree.

Let me do him please - a BB? - Isn't that one of them god awful ugly red cars with half it's back end missing - simply using "BB" and Miura in the same sentance is an afront to all that appreciate the sheer sublime beauty of the Miura - a car that blinds all that see it with its fluidity of line and timeless elegance - will someone take this man out and have some sense flogged into him.

Only joking (but only joking a bit) - you're not even at the races with a BB mate!

LOL, it's ok. Paul's got a good sense of humour anyway ;)
But it's hard to say a BB is not that nice. I put it up there as one of Ferrari's finest and most overlooked.

(All with tongue very much in cheek!)

But its a car that looks best from underneath...it's not one of Maranello's prettiest of cars is it?

And why did they run out of paint?

BTW you've got to remember here that we miura lovers are not only car nuts but we get the advantage (over you BB chaps) to enjoy fine art at the same time.

    Is this an Italian proverb?
I'm not sure it translates well into Yorkshire!
