New 1:64 Hotwheels, F430 Spider and 512M

At least you guys can find GT40's....

 

I leave them behind every time I see them. Although it does look pretty cool in the Gulf colors.

 

I usually do... I just picked these up because of the interest in them... For the most part I just buy the Ferraris.

 

Same here Roy. I have one reg color wheel and a couple Shiny wheel ones...pretty content with those. Picked up another 250gto and 512M today...saw lots of 288's, 360's, 250's and 512M's. I try to only buy a couple at a time tho in case there are other collectors out there who dig Ferraris too. I will buy hunts and rare varis of other models if I find them, simply to use them as trades for older Ferrari's that I can't find anymore.

 

Sounds like we have the same philosophy... Good stuff.

Yesterday I saw several of the blue convertable GTO that is in the two-pack with the white F430 Spider- surely it can't be far behind... right?

 

That's what I think. It should be out in single blister very soon!

I heard those are in canada. I saw a case on ebay. We should get together and buy it.

 

Saw this on the HW collector forum: Lapeer is the store I usually go to but this time I missed it good thing to I would have been pissed.


Had the worst K-day event ever! At my store (Lapeer, MI) we usually receive tickets and then numbers are drawn at 9:00a.m. Today I got to the store at 8:45, and the eight cases that were delivered to the store were already opened and rifled through. Seems there was a new person in charge of the event and he/she was not properly trained in the way of the day. One or two early arrivals got to go through all of the boxes. Every T-hunt was gone. I got my special color cars and a few other new offerings, but not right that an early arrival got all of the hunts. If it were me, I would have explained the situation to the numbskull employee and waited for my chance at the proper time. I did complain to the checkout person, but that will not do any good, so I will talk to the manager before the next event in an attempt to avoid this situation in the future.

 

That sucks, do you mind telling us what cars you picked up?

I noticed a lot of posts like that on HWC. It seems like this KDays had more upset people than usual. Lot of complaining about the way it was run and the cars not being very good. Glad I missed it too. Maybe the next one will be better.

Found 3 Drift Kings T-Hunts today at three different stores....it's like everyone got the same HW cases today!

Ya, it was pretty much the best "non-Ferrari" HW day I've had in a while. I also found the super HTF 65 VW fastback and a really cool no-tampo solid black Passin' Gasser error. Found tons of Ferraris too but they were ones I already had multiples of...288GTO's both colors, FXX's, 512m's, 250gto's and the blk/red 360.
