    Hey guys,

I'm working on behalf of BP to help spread the word about an automotive photo contest that I think the fine members here would be perfect for (they’re giving away free gas cards weekly and a grand prize trip to the 24 Hours at LeMans).

    Check it out here: http://amocoultimate.cardomain.com/

The contest is largely judged on votes as well, so if you guys coordinate it, you would probably stand a good chance at winning.

If you've got any questions, feel free to PM me. Good luck!

    LOL @ this one....

"Why my car is worth it"

"When I was growing up in the 80's The lamborghini Countach was a poster that could be found on the walls of most teenage boys rooms. The car was an Icon and an image that said you had reached the top. At that age it was just a dream, Now at the age of 42 I finaly have the car. Well sort of .. I bought this custom built exotic because of the looks and because its powered by an American 1967corvette 327 V-8 . And I take very good care of it and that means only putting the best gas in it."

Well, in the first part it does say

"Now that you're here lets explain how this all works.

    1. First, enter your favorite picture of YOUR car."

You know to be honest, I haven't been able to get a definitive answer... However, I know that the written description also plays a roll as well, so they could be using what you write to somewhat verify if "you're worth it."

It's very clear that you post pictures of your car - i.e. your own car. Read the descriptions as well - everything is a personal account. No one is going - I saw this nice Veyron on Market Street zooming past me. Here is a picture of it :D

Oh there's no question that doing something like that wouldn't fly... At the end of the day, the winner's are editorially chosen (it's not simply based on votes) so they're definitely going to overlook someone posting a random camera phone picture of a supercar on a freeway. However, that's not to say that if you were to post a pic of say- a car you previously owned, or had recently sold, that they would necessarily confirm that you were the registered owner of the vehicle. But again, I could be mistaken in the matter. But again, you are certainly correct in suggesting that personal account is the key.
