Probably are especially because there are more 959's in the world. I've seen Bill Gates' 959 in Bellevue at least 3 times, one in California and one in Germany.
That's half the story - they've also upped the power by 80hp (10%)!! "ONE" being the key word There's only one in the world for now... Surely there are more street legal 959s in the USA alone.
It doesn't look like that would ever cut it as street legal here in the states though. I don't see any tail lights or high mounted brake light. They'd probably also have to install big rubber baby buggy bumpers or something to get it legal here
Seeing Bill more than once only counts as one (plus your office is relatively close to his place), I'll give you the one in Cali, and Germany doesn't count. Exactly, but you still don't see them all that often. Since when were there two in Portland? I know RTGT was selling one about 2 yrs ago... -Colin
They're covertly hiding in repair shops. Knew someone that had one years back and rarley had the chance to drive it. He even kept food and drink at the shop since he would visit so often!
I know someone who owns a 959 and lives in Portland, but the 959 itself isn't in Portland. It's in Europe.
Oddly, I saw a 959 on a transport truck parked in Des Moines once. I thought it was a kit at first, but I would bet a paycheck it was legit after further inspection.
Page had one, and RTGT was selling it. I don't know if they ever sold it or not. The person I was referring to used to own two 959s, and sold one to Page. He's down to only one now.
Oh come on Roy would it be better if it was a Pink Lamborghini Revington or Lamborghini Murcielago LP640??
I remember going out to RTGT back in 2007 there was a white 959 but from what Steve told me they could not sell it since it didn't have all the parts on it to make it Leagle streat car
It's 100% legal, but it has some irregularities in the paperwork. That's how I would describe it, anyway, although the car's former owner would probably disagree with me.
Didn't Gates' sit at the border for a really long time before he had Clinton okay it or something like that? I thought he was the first in the US to have one? -Colin
I think it was in customs for years, and he helped move along the infamous "show and display" law. Our resident attorney probably has better facts than I though... P.S. There's been an unusually large amount of DB9's showing up at Microsoft lately in the parking garages...is there a fire sale or something I missed?
As far as bodywork goes it doesn't differ all too much from the Enzo, which is US legal. So I'd say no to though bumper statement
Must be, I think since Park Place opened their "PP AM" dealership they've actually been selling them alright. Does anyone know how long Jaguar of Tacoma has been a AM dealer? I've been seeing them around illustrious Auburn too. I think I'll buy one. -Colin
What color was the one you saw in California? I saw a red one in LA two years ago, but I assumed it was fake because I though BG had the only legal one in the U.S.
