Marcel, it is ONLY a question. The chassis was shortened when raced with the porsche body.

 

Following the Sebring 12 hour race on 1st April 1967 LM 6233 was sold by de la Chica to W. R. R. III, a college student in North Carolina.
Here it is just after arrival at the student's home. He had paid US$ 5'500 for 6233.

With having owned that many it becomes easy to 'forget' that you owned an LM twice.

 

John Mecom's 6047 at Sebring 27 March 1965, now painted his typical Cadillac Metallic Blue. Driven by Walt Hansgen and Mark Donohue.

Thanks for sharing that pic, 27th March 1966 is the day before I was born.
Here's a pic I took in 1983, also an LM at Zolder. And I seem to recall Beurlys was there as well. He may have driven the BB in the second pic. Not sure though.

Lucky man. It looks to me as this particular LM didn't have the proverbial hard life that most lead.

 

Michael, Marcel's photo is from Cumberland I think. The front racingno 69 at Bridghampton was put in a straight line while at Cumberland it was put oblique.

The most original 250 LM of the 32 units built. Sold new to Helge Pehrsson in Stockholm, Sweden. Raced once at the Skarpnäck airfield in Sweden. Pehrsson drove on the road in Sweden. It is also pictured in the official 1965 Ferrari Yearbook. Swedish registration plates "BA 6666". Since 1967 in the Schlumpf Museum in Mulhouse, Alsace region, France.

Never seen that photo before

 

Taking delivery of a used 250 LM with Drogo long nose at the factory's Assistenza Clienti in Viale Trento Trieste 31 in Modena (today a public parking garage) in August 1966. The grey Peugeot 404 Super Luxe is Commendatore Enzo Ferraris's personal car. The factory service department in the city of Modena, across Enzo Ferrari's townhouse, serviced and maintained Ferraris from all over the world, up to 800 cars per year (in the 1960s and 1970s). It was headed by the late Gaetano Florini, a very experienced chain-smoking engineer. The Assistenza Clienti is also the place where they built the 365 GTB/4 Competizione and the 512 BB LMs (NOT in Maranello).
