Has anyone else noticed that very few people have the OEM wheel centers that belong on a 456. I ordered a set to see how they look. Half of these pics have them and half have the yellow plastic ones. The original ones are silver, and were only found on the 456.

I actaully thought they were fitted only on the 456M, not the original 456's, but even some of the 456M's have the yellow ones.

Your profile says your car is an M. The last poster was correct that only the M's had the silver caps. So somewhere along the way someone changed yours because it had silver caps. I went out to the parts diagram to corfirm this and it only shows one cap for the M and it's the silver one.

I guess it could have been ordered any way. It's the original parts diagram that shows this. It's not really an American thing. The metal ones are much more expensive but a lot of people like the yellow ones. They pop right out so they are easy to change. I'm not saying yours didn't come that way. Ferrari does what it wants, they could have run out at the factory that day and just popped in some yellow ones. Who knows.
Part 6 is this:174226 which is the silver one.

BTW< STUNNING combo...truly like this set. AND tell me that purple under the hood is lighting and not overspray :|

ALSO: I am curious where you got this car. It seems to be a Euro, non-US/Canadian make. You are missing the middle cover with the Cavallino/Rampante.

Ferrari Part Number 182551 CAVALLINO RAMPANTE

It was the lighting of the camera because it was in the morning. It looks so cool I just had to take a shot of it, and I'm no photo expert. I just noticed the purple when you said that. That is one giant CF panel. I would love to see how much one of those weighs by itself.

I found that same info about the caps. It shows how rare those are.

Is your car a Euro, the VIN should tell you.

ALSO, your hood, again, what are those metal things near the light cutouts, is that the lights?? looks odd to me.

No, mine is a US model. I don't know what those metal things are. I think they are the points where the rubber bumpers hit the hood. I'll look and see later. I'll back up and take a picture from further away.

Mine is a 99 not a 2000 where this part was added. I like it though. Maybe I'll switch them.
