They both look like Fender Strats. iirc, Clapton has a signature model.

OT but the best bass I ever played was a Fender Geddy Lee Sig.

I have a Fender Strat, if I was more of a guitarist, I'd get me a Les Paul or a PRS (Santana endorses this brand I believe.)

I'm a bassist at heart, and not knocking on the Geddy, it's a solid bass, but if the Geddy Lee is the best bass you've played, you need to try others.

Check out Roy Clark he can play I saw him a bunch of times. Roy plays a Gretsch or a Fender Strat.

He is also a script writer for TV and wrote Keeping Up Appearances and a bunch of other Brit comedies.

Everyone has their own preference. I recently sold my Les Paul Custom. Beautiful instrument, but not as comfortable to play as my '61 Strat Relic. I have a friend who has had Gibsons, Fenders, etc but now buys and plays nothing but PRS guitars. In fact, I have his Gibson B.B. King Lucille on eBay right now. One is not necessarily better than the other, just different strokes for different folks.

Les Paul's sound fantastic. My "fav" guitar sound is a Gretsch though :D

    Wow Noel! Post some pics!

I've got a Gibson 335 Dot Re-Issue from '04, '87 Fender Strat Plus and Regal Dobro. I used to have a black Strat like Clapton's and it got stolen in college. The neck was getting all nice and worn and everything.

Jack White is awesome--one of the most important musicians right now IMO. Have you checked out Raconteurs latest? Really good.

not yet, i listen and play lots of different types and styles. his sound and slide work continue to amaze me. it would be super cool if he is a member here, i read somewhere he and his wife are worth $37MM +, so perhaps he has a white/red/black Ferrari or 2!

speaking of guitars, i saw the Flying V in that one pic, i have always wanted one of those, but i am so out of room in the safe as it is!

For me -- it's a 2005 Fender American Deluxe V-Neck Stratocaster. It's Candy Apple with a Butterscotch pickguard and maple frets. Wonderful guitar. I play through a nearly 30-year-old Fender Harvard Reverb practice amp!

My brother got the c-neck version of the Strat (three-color sunburst) as his "guest" guitar. His primary axe is a PRS custom-22 running through a Soldano Lucky 13 half-stack.

For bass, I have an old Charvel (because I loved my bro's '87 Charvel guitar). The necks get so nice and thin up by the headstock. I must admit, though, that I'm jealous of my brother's bass setup: Fender American P-bass -- Black/White with the top-o-the-line Ampeg stack.

Behind me in my office is my 1991 Yamaha FG-450 (I think is the number) acoustic. Nothing special, but easy to play.

I'm actually a drummer first -- so I'm a Tama/Paiste guy. (I use Zlidjian hi-hats, because nothing can top the sound of New Beat high hats!!!)
