Ok, maybe I have a warped sense of humor. When I first got my Ferrari my wife was not so on board. I thought it would be funny if I taught my baby girl to say and recognize my Ferrari in the garage. At first it was funny as heck, every time we would go into the Garage she would say, "look Mommy, Ferrari". My wife would roll her eyes and I would deny any knowledge of how it could have happened and then fein great pride at how astute our daughter was, and what exceptional taste she had. Now, months later, my little girl reminds me of me as a little boy. She begs me to watch this little Ferrari video I have almost as often as she asks for the wiggles. However, just when I thought Daddy was the center of her world, she informs me in her little girl way that she is not nearly as fond of my mondial as she is of the 430 Scuderia on the video. My wife is getting a huge kick out of this sudden turn of events. Oh well, at least she has good taste.

Am I the only one raising little ferrari lovers?

My 4 year old watches F1 races with me and insists on wearing his team shirt to pre-school the Friday's prior to the race. That coincides with the official flag raising on Friday mornings of GP weekends. MY wife of course thinks we are nuts. He also mentions in passing conversation around the house "When I drive for Ferrari I'll let you drive my race car, daddy." So around 2024 I'll something to look forward to!

She is two. Oh, and you're right, it is "Fewari" Just thinking of her saying it that way makes me smile. Of course, now we've all picked up on it. I can't remember the last time I pronounced it correctly!

Not quite the same thing, but my 8 yo son doesn't tell people about how Daddy has a Ferrari - he tells them about how Daddy *spun* his Ferrari. Sweet.

I'm in the process of purchasing my 1st ferrari this week. My 20 month little girl can already say "fewari" and "dada's car" whenever I look at f-cars online or in books I have at home. We've got to start them early!!!

    That's so cute!

When my mom was in labor and walking into the hospital she saw a Ferrari in the parking lot and stopped and said to my dad, "Look, a Ferrari." I think I probably heard it from the womb.

Now you've done it. What do you plan to do when she turns 16? :) Your daughter sounds like a real doll.

My daughter, currently 8 y.o., has been indoctrinated (brainwashed??) in the way of Ferrari since she was 2. She had a stuffed black horse that she used to take with her on rides, she has shirts, hats.

She races karts as well, and plans to race for ferrari in F1 in a few years...

    haha exactly.

Be careful what you wish for , lol. I've loved Ferrari's for awhile thanks to my dad partly. But, now I'm almost 17. I'm severely difficult...I don't want a normal car ...I want my OWN Ferrari now! ;)

My 3 year old is all about Ferraris...especially my 308. She likes it better than my friend's 355, TR, Lambo. She has a ton a Matchbox Ferraris, among others. Heck, she even knows she has 2 Mercedes. I recently bought her a small "Lightning McQueen" and she asked, "Is this a Ferrari?" She's good to go.

Took her on her first ride a couple weeks ago -- LOVED IT (we both did).

My two little girls, 3 and 5, are VERY into Ferrari's thanks to my brainwashing. At these ages their minds are little sponges and very moldable, might as well do it right! I've had the 5 yr old helping bleed the brakes (tell me when the bubbles stop coming out) and the 3 yr old is pretty handy wheeling that jack around. :D We even watched 'Cars' again today for the, oh, 500th time???

Despite my best efforts, my 11 year old loves the Lambos. He still wants me to get the Ferrari, though. When I suggested I could get a Lambo instead, he said, "No! That's MY car."

At least he's a car nut like his Dad.

yep, that's the monster that gets created when you get a love for cars from you parents. When I was 16 I just HAD to have a Porsche. I knew Ferrari was too far out of reach, but I sure didn't want a Honda. Still haven't gotten my Ferrari (yet) though :(

My daughter is 21 mos. I was wearing a T shirt with a Cavallino a couple of months ago. I taught her to say Cavallino, it comes out "Cannaneeno". Then she goes away for 5 days with her mom. When they return, she's walking past my 355, points to the fender shield and says (you guessed it!)- Cannaneeno!
It's crazy because she was only barely introduced to the word five nights earlier.
Her pronunciation of Ferrari is "Feeeawri".
