    Hi Folks,
I'm in a real pickle here. I went on vacation for 4 weeks and put the Ferrari battery trickle charger on to keep my 599 GTB fully charged and ready to go when I returned.
When I returned, yesterday, it looks like the OEM Ferrari provided charger did a "self destruct" as the LED lights are out and there is no sign of life.

Well, the battery is totally dead. So much so, I can't even get into the trunk to gain access to the battery for a jump start. And in fact, my owner's manual is in the trunk so there is no capability of looking up how to open the trunk in an emergency.

    Desperately seeking help...Does anyone know
    1. If there is a way to manually open the trunk from the inside, driver/passenger interior?
    2. Is there anyway I can put the charger clamps (+/-) in the engine compartment so it would provide power enough activate the electronic switches?
    2. Is there a way to jump start the car from any points in the engine compartment?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Totally bummed...

    Thank you,
    Carson

You can get it all done quite easily and if the PM you have does not help I'll post the relevant info for you.

My advice for the future is to forget about the Ferrari branded charger and buy yourself a Deltran Battery Tender for around $50, attach the battery leads directly to the battery and use the Battery Tender when you are gone for any lengthy period.
If you are planning on being away for several weeks I'd also use the battery cutoff switch that is in every modern Ferrari

My PM merely asked for his email address so I could send him the scan of the relevant material in the owners' manual, but here it is:

Thank you everyone for all your help. Most the email references are for the PM? May I ask what is a PM? Power Module, Parts Manual, Product Manual?? Pardon the dumb question.

The person that provided the picture, attachment, of the manual latch. THANK YOU!

Sincere and Best Regards to All,
    Carson
