Hmmmm....you are likely right. The car in the backround of the first photo (unnumbered) is not the Filipinetti car. It certainly appears to be a SEFAC entered car. No spare chassis or T car was listed in the entry list. I will have to dig some more. Looks like 1004 was the 6T car dns 1012 was the chassis used for the race. Which is which in the Flik r is the question.
Interesting photo, Enzo Ferrari wife Laura between Von Tripps and Phil Hill: http://www.jamd.com/image/in-search/von+tripps/#0g1241954
Targa Florio 1970: All wrong. 1012 was the T-Car. Crashed and DNS. 1042 was the car used in the race. I have the factory documents to prove this. Marcel Massini
n°34 - #16425 at Le Mans 73. n°38 - #14141 at Le Mans 73. n°22 - #12547 at Daytona 70. n°1 - #14065 at Sebring 72. n°24 - #14107 at Sebring 71. Correct me if I'm wrong.
But this photo from the same Flickr poster shows that there was indeed a spare car. Nathan Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nathan See my post #4254. There WAS a spare 512 S Spider. I have written factory proof that 1012 was the T-car and 1042 was raced. Marcel Massini
