Had to laugh when congress asked all the executives from the car companies if they'd sell their private jets and go back by commercial airline. Not one of them put their hands up. I can see the culture isn't going to change. I don't think the average american tax payer would be impressed with that.

I would have thougt that would be a good start. Be proactive sell the jets and say, hey look at least we are trying to cut back on costs. They lost all credibility IMO. I know it was a cheap shot, but true, a bit hypicritical asking for money.

 

Is that the new version of 'buy your own'? Maybe it needs to be updated for current circumstances to 'PAY for your own'

 

If they get money from congress it'll come with the condition of closure for uneconomic OS plants.
That'd kill off the Ford Oz engine plant sooner than hoped for.
Guess it's inevitable cars will be built where workers cost $1 per hour.
