Joey, I would not want to be even a half inch taller and I am just about 6'1". My head is right there, to put the visor down, means I gotta get out of the way. To look out the rear view mirror, I've got to back my head up so I can look forward into the damn thing! :D

It is really not that bad... :D ditto the Countach, I was right there height wise, wouldn't want to be any taller. Anyone 6'2" ever driven a Countach or a Mangusta? I had a good 1 inch to spare in a standard floor height Pantera.

No, that was a nice car though. Another guy there showing his car told me the white car's owner was getting miffed as people were asking him about my car when I wasn't standing around.lol The crowd loved it.
The car that won was some 1950 Healy or something like that. I didn't even give it a second look when viewing the other cars. No sour grapes, I don't think I should've won, but there was a very nice jag next to me and a Griffth that was absolutely killer. One of the participants was a resto guy that came over to comment on the paint on my car-it was dusty in the pics posted and still looked a foot thick! Odd, they didn't want the engine bays shown until judgeing was finished-few of the others I spoke with from out of town thought there was some local favorites. Who cares-it's all so damn subjective anyway. When is the 1st GOOSE entry gonna be and where? Perhaps I'll make it.

    Mike,
The “goose” is friggin gorgeous! If I ever hit the lottery I would add a Mangusta to keep the Pantera company.

I love my Pantera. IMHO the styling is timeless. But the Mangusta is number 2 to my all time favorite the Miura.

    :D :D :D

H, this winter Jack Deryke and his lovely wife Judy are going to tinker with my goose! lol - (I think you can arrested for that). Jack is a freakin genius with these Detomaso cars and Judy who looks all pure and innocent..well she can turn a good wrench, that I am sure of :D

Seriously all systems are going to be gone through to make sure this thing drives as well as it looks - it is that simple. After that, I'll pimp it around some...it has Hot August Nights written all over it? That is a big event nowadays...that would be something? Just a thought. Of course I will let you know. How is the red monster? :D

I know one of the best views of your Pantera is with the engine lid UP, stupid rule? Engine compartments are one of my favorite visuals at car shows?

No comparison to the nook and cranny detail of your GOOSE-the detailer was beginning to have his head spin whist detailing THAT engine bay---"where do you stop" he was putting the buff to things while attaching the wench line when I pulled the GOOSE into my hauler!!!

H, if you ever want to switch rims, I have a 'special' set of Pantera rims in flawless condition that are 15" x 12" rear and 15" x 9" front that a set of 305/50 15's on the rear and 225/50 15's on the front would fill out the wheel wells beautifully and give it more of a period correct/hot rod look.

just a thought, they are Campy style - exactly, but three piece like the Etoille's on the goose....I'll shoot a pick and post later, I am away from home right now...

    honestly:

NSX is nice and a reliable choice

355 berlinetta looks great in yellow and is my favourite of the Ferrari 3.. and 4.. V8 serie! (not my fav V8 Ferrari because of these F40s and GTOs288 ;) )

the pantera is my favourite of the 3 and the auto clutch-worcks done to it is IMPRESSIVE :-o
i'd love to get a pantera sooner or later

may be i should sell something though since .....i do not have space left unfortunatly ...:(

The Pantera is hard to resist. I have a 512BBi but the Pantera gets just as many looks and appeals to my love of the muscle car.
This is my 72 with a bored and stroked 408 Windsor.

The Pantera had 15" wheels . Hall Pantera 3 peicer's that were 9 1/2x15 and 13x15. I essentially gave 'em away. The 18" Boyd C's look perfect IMO. Had the flares moved to make 'em fit. With the 15's, I had the suspension lowered a bit too far. Looked silly with a hydraulic "gansta" effect. lol ; )

not to mention, banging the underside of your car SUCKS! Makes riding low a difficult challenge.....I wonder how you low-body Countach guys manage....a 'highbody' Countach, like 'H's' for example is still prone to hit bottom, how do YOU manage Emilio in your low slung beast? I remember in my early Countach days nearly bottoming out and would have got stuck if I had gone further in this odd undulating driveway in a parking garage, had to back up gingerly out of my original path, and it was a 'highbody' Countach!

    you are soooo right, Mike

the worst thing of these cars is you need wooden pieces in and out of a "almost" plain driveway (i do where the jalpa went in and out with any problems...) AND you need to know the roads before venturing with the S car.....or you are going to have luck with some small italian roads .....:-o
