Looking great Jim! Is Meg a leadfoot? What kind of horsepower are you planning? Should be a great cruiser.

Napolis, it seems that you are going to a lot more time and trouble with this project than those guys on American Choppers or the ex Boyd Coddington build shows...aren't you using a whip and a revolver to make your guys met deadlines like we learned how to do on cable T.V.?
Jim, although it is a rarity when I feel the need to post, and even then with a bit of trepidation, I must say "thank you" as you continue to share updates as they pertain to your collection. It is a welcome distraction, and the build process is always fascinating. Hats off, Sir.

This whole project should have it's own TV show - just to counteract the horrible way that those "crash-dive a custom hotrod in a week" junk programs depict a build. I especially liked the ones where they slapped together an engine without measuring or balancing a single internal part. I guess it has been forgotten now, but in the past the American Street Rod was recognized for their quality of construction and innovation. Now it seems that the craftsmanship is taking a back seat to screaming and yelling about deadlines. It makes you wonder if these "quick-builds" are influencing a whole new generation of young enthusiasts to throw stuff together just as fast and dirty as possible. I say take a little longer and keep the quality...and I was just kidding about Jim standing over his guys with a whip and a chair...
James I like your thought pattern on a tv show, so how about a Victory By Design - Jim's Garage ? I would buy it in a heartbeat !
Jim, I love this project and I love the shade of turqoise that your wife chose. What transmission have you picked out for the 57?
Jim, Meg's 57 is looking awesome, as with everything it is the details that count the most. I can not wait to see her complete.
Paint looks GREAT!!! If you ever look to build another 50's chevy... I saw a really beautiful straight axle '55 up at the Lake George Nationals the past few years. I'm trying to submit pics but it won't let me ... I'll try again in the morning.
