2NA we can relax. The "S" badge is correct!

If you have a chassis number I might know where it is now...

    OK I checked my records.

I think it is 4581, pictured below. Thats the only "Giallo" P400S I have in my records as being in Sweden when this image was taken.

I have had the good fortune to be invited to photo-document what I believe to be the most original early P400 in existence. Purchased new to special order in 1967 by its now 90-year old owner who ordered it on the spot after a visit to Sant Agata, it exists in completely untouched disposition... after 1,800 miles from new. It exists in the company of a small group of low-mileage original cars all purchased new: Mercedes Gullwing, Porsche 904 etc.

This owner is also the owner of the oldest Miura I have on record as still owned by the man who ordered it new.

I saw it in August after an invitation upon a chance encounter with the owner who saw my own Miura. "I bought one of these new in 1967" he quipped. "What happened to to it?" I asked, stupidly assuming it was long gone. He stared back at me as if puzzled. "Ive still got it!". What was I thinking...

Well, this most reclusive gentleman invited me to see that it was all true, and upon the first visit I thought it would be rude to whip out my camera so I left it in the car, which was a good thing because his disposition led me to believe that my viewing was very privileged indeed, and I was not to divulge his collection to all & sundry, much less, photograph it.

I saw the car, and let me just say that the expression "original" is far too often loosely used. This one stunned me into silence.

Anyway I hope to see it this week again and Ive been given the green light to bring my camera! Needless to say I will be clicking like there is no tomorrow.

I will post the results up on my website in the Galleria section hopefully within this next week....
