    Have any of the states in Oz introduced investor protection schemes? similar to the one here? NZF Money followed by Finance Direct were the first to be signed off here. Fin Dir were offering 9.15% for 12 months, now down to 7.65% and expected to drop further when the OCR comes down soon (expected drop 1 to 1.5%)

    its a blood bath.
    two high pofile real estate agents have just finished up 40 staff,just before X/mas.
    People walking away from settlements at the top end of the market. ie, at least 50 last month in the top 3 suburbs.
    properties that sold for 4 million in July now back on the market at 1.5 million.
    its a blood bath.
    as one agent said to me "Sell Sell sell" "take what ya can,I still get paid"
