Yeah, called the owner the other day. I think he was sicking of talking about the car! Can totally understand his fustration. Tyre kickers like me call all the time and annoy people like him. Car had belts done 2000km ago. Car is reliable, never let him down in 3 years of ownership. Errrrrr, I dont remember much else.
maybe he's doing a phil?? "belts changed 2000km ago (*cough* but that was 3 years and it's due to be done again)"
Why are used ferraris so much more than used lambos? there is a 2006 gallardo for sale, 2006 low ks and askin 290k, which would probably be lower when the deal is done. then there is a 2006 430 with 50,000k asking 350k, which is the cheapest one for sale.
Wow, ap, that 430 must have been a daily driver with that milage. I think he's dreaming or doesn't wasn't to sell. I'd go for the Gallardo. (if I had the money of course)
Whats wrong with $350K for a 50,000 km 430?? Not that badly priced. Well, as long he is willing to drop down to say.......$320K!
Pfffttt.....its a 430 Spider!! http://www.carpoint.com.au/used-car/FERRARI/F430/New%20South%20Wales/csn6385863.aspx This is more like it!! 2005 red/black 430 with 9,000 km on the clock for $365K! http://www.carpoint.com.au/used-car/FERRARI/F430/Victoria/csn6514357.aspx
but even so pap, this is still ridiculously high for a car of the year, milage and given the current financial situation they should be a LOT less. I know that most of the prices for ferraris selling are inflated and not realistic but cmon, this is the CHEAPEST one and it still seems very high. I would imagine the price of the 430 and the gallardo would have been comparable when new in 06? and there are a lot less gallardos than 430s which should make them more if anything. If the car was not black (gallardo) would have some serious thoughts of an inspection.
3K miles 360 Strad for that or maybe less. Which would you prefer? http://www.carpoint.com.au/used-car/FERRARI/360/New%20South%20Wales/csn6321653.aspx
Is it really though?? That is just your opinion. The owner probably thinks otherwise. If you havent noticed mate, the Ferrari market in Aus is still pretty strong compared to the prices around the rest of the world. I havent seen many Ferraris for sale on the net or have heard of any that I have thought were a really good deal or sold for a really good price. Perhaps a few sold at auction, but none have really come across as being REALLY cheap if you ask me. Probably still realistic in todays market mate. Give it another 6 months and see what happens. I think so. Ferrari probably a *little* more expensive, maybe? Im going to go out on a limb and say that perhaps the Gayardo's are not as desireable as the 430, which is why they dont command strong prices like the Ferraris do, even though less Gayardo's were made. I know I would MUCH rather a 430 over a Gayardo. Cool man, hook in. You only live once!! Lol!!
I would suggest someone who has had BOTH a 360 and 430 scud, would have to be bright. You don't buy those sort of cars without money and to make it you you have to be smart so one must give credit where it is due.
or take over daddy's business. (like me i'm reliably told) sometimes you're dumb. edit *sigh*...it was a CS and a 430...but never mind.
Yes, he would be the man that could tell us as he has owned them both. 360 CS has 425 HP and weighs 1180kg. Top speed 300 km/h and does 0-100 km/h in 4.1 secs. 430 has 490 HP and weighs 1350 kg. Top speed 315 km/h and does 0-100 km/h in 4 secs. The 430 looks great, but I would rather have a 360 CS instead. But either car will keep me happy.
Here is a potential "good buy" IMO. A silver 2005 612 Scaglietti with 17,500 km on the clock for $365K! Car was $730K+ 3 years ago! $365K, this week only. http://www.carpoint.com.au/used-car/FERRARI/612%20SCAGLIETTI/New%20South%20Wales/csn6458873.aspx
Well, speak of the GTB devil! A red 328 GTB for sale in Aus. Only 77 made RHD eh?? 55,000 km on the clock for $119K. Only one other 328 GTB in the Country, I wonder if he is talking about PP's 328? http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/private/FERRARI/328/details.aspx?R=5896182&Make=FERRARI&__Ns=pCar_PrivateSpecialFlag_Int32%7c1%7c%7cpCar_ImageCount_Int32%7c1%7c%7cpCar_LastModifiedDate_DateTime%7c1&__N=4294966380%200%201216%20834%20285%20257&State=All%20States&distance=25&silo=1003&seot=0&Cr=12&__Nne=20&trecs=71&state_id=0&__sid=11CB7533C03E
