Icons of the 80:s, both lovely and fantastic designs, but so very different! And even though I love them both, I think the expression Less is more applies to this one!

As of June this year the Belgian license plates altered, wich makes plates like '328-GTS' possible. Might be a nice Christmas present for this owner ;)

This is 55167 with AC & PW.
Do you have any further information of this car? Which number it was built? The engine etc.?

Do you live in the area of the northern black forest Martin D.??
I know of ~ 15 GTO in Germany, but many of them are in the garage and won't be driven on the road. Doesn't have SN's.
I think that there must be more than ~15 GTO in Germany. There could be around 20 cars ;) Maybe 25, because many many of them are unknown ;)

I heard that the CW - FI 288 was sold last year or the year before. Was it the one with uprated turbos??
The PF - DV 288 GTO was sold some years ago.
But there was a second one in PF ;) But was also sold.
It was a special car, because the driver is paraplegic. He could brake and accelerate with the hands.

    Greetings Bobo

Thanks Paul. This was the 28th car sold at one time by Carlo Perego, originally delivered to Guiseppe Spelta. Please correct me if I am inaccurate...

Interestingly in Belgium I have two variations of this theme:

    54811 - "GTO.288"

    56193 - "288.GTO"

Ive no idea if these Belgian registrations are current, but the plates appear to be still affixed to the aforementioned cars...

55167 is the 122nd GTO built and it originally went to Rodolfo Testa but beyond its current ""CW-F.288" registration thats all the info I have.

Your comments about the estimation of 20-25 GTOs in Germany are interesting. My estimation based on tracking the cars is that there are more of them in the UK than anywhere else, although the USA and Germany have high numbers (relatively, if you consider 20-25 cars high!) also...

If I count the cars that I know, I have 18 cars.
But Germany is very itneresting with rare Ferraris, becaus many of the owner store the cars in garages and doens't drive with them.
And the area around Munich and Hamburg is really interesting, because there are the real fortunes ;)
So I heard of another 2-3 cars, but doesn't know of them anything. Maybe they're fake, i can't say it.
So this would be maybe 20-21. And there are some owners, that doesn't want, that someone knows about it.

Then we have Mr. Dransmann. He has a big garage and there are multiple super cars of Ferrari. So maybe there are also some GTO stored?

So I think there could be around 25 cars or even more??
    Just speculation.

My notes tell me Bernhard Dransmann has the 16th GTO, 52473, and this is the one registered "A.07353"...

    Wrong.
Owner of 52473 is not Dransmann. And it's also not Dransmann's dealer license plate. Dransmann is from Osnabrück, hence no letter "A" in the plate. "A" is for Augsburg.

    I don't want to say names but A - 07353 isn't from Dransmann.
    Dransmann has OS - 06115 ;) Just that it's correct ;)

I think Dransmann wasn't at the Ferrari Racing Days with his GTO the last years.
    Always comes with his Enzo.

The red 06-numbers are dealer plates and the red 07-numbers are for private persons.
You can drive with 07-numbers cars, that are older than 30 years, some years ago it was 20 years.
The GTO isn't 30 years old. So you can also drive cars, that are produced less than 500 units ;)

    Hi Bobolus,
I live near Stuttgart. Don't know about the turbos of CW - FI 288 but it could very well be that the owner purchased the car only 2 years ago. I think he also has a F40 because I saw one with similar plates (CW - FI 40).
I hope PF -DV 288 is still with the same owner. Haven't seen the car in a while.
Didn't know that the guy from PF also had a GTO. I just know that he has a Enzo (since 2006 in black wrap), F40 (both present at FRD 2007) and a 360 Challenge Stradale.

20 - 25 GTOs in Germany would be nice :)

I once heard about a guy who was in Dransmanns garage and counted 6 Enzos, 2 F50 and 2 GTOs amongst others. Would be very nice to get the chance one day to view his whole collection :)
I guess Dransmann has a (kind of) dealership because he advertises sometimes cars on mobile.de and I heard of Enzo, F50, F40 and GTO which were sold by him or with his help.

It's realy to bad that only view of the rare exotics are driven regularly. I once talked to an Enzo owner and he told me that he drives the car every weekend ... out of the garage, let the engine run some minutes and then back into the garage again :( Same with his F40.

And some more pics from FRD 2006

This one is MK - SF 288 (58232) and the pic was taken during the 25th aniversary celebration of the Ferrari Club Deutschland in Baden Baden (2003). According to the published participant list 3 GTOs took part in this event and these were 54799, 55167 and 58323.

    Thanks for sharing.

It would be nice to learn more about the involvement Michelotto is said to have had with this particular car...

Yes the PF - DV 288 was sold some years ago.
Yes the CW - FI 288 has also a F40.

Dransmann's garage is to die for ;)
So many super cars and some others more :) But he lives too far away :(
Dransmann is the most important person in Ferrari for Germany in my opinion. If you want a supercar, Dransmann can get it, and every single spare part, especially for older cars ;)
