Miuras are an easy car to import into Canada. No duty just 5% GST.

There are a few around but none that are for sale up here. Calgary has had many over the years and there are at least two currently.

Countach's are cool but Gandini's finest is the Miura.

You have to pay 6.1% duty when Importing because Miura's where made in Italy! Then GST and PST (if you have PST)

IIRC Muira's are over 25 years old......no duty.

I was erroneously charged the duty and actually got a refund.

The youngest Miura is already 35 years old so importing one to Canada shouldn't present any issues, other than duty consideration. The point is, limiting yourself to Canada severely decreases your chances of getting a good car. There are only a few Miuras in Canada to start with, and how many are for sale? I would certainly consider including the USA within the scope of your search... by way of example I know that Edmond Carrier (the official Canadian Lamborghini importer) took delivery of just one Miura SV (4984). That car now lives in the USA.

Very cool. I have never heard of Edmond Carrier. Were they the very first importer here in Canada? Do you have anymore info on them Joe? Would be a great read. I always thought it was Leny's for some reason. (May he RIP)

The purple SV has been with Miura specialist Jeff Stephan in Southern California since 1995.

Carrier was the official importer although some cars came in privately and one I know came in via Lotus Canada I have a list of the cars Carrier brought in somewhere, and I can tell you he only imported a few more than a handful.

I believe Carrier is still around in the Ontario area.

They look like they would look good together!

BTW, that Miura has a replacement nose (from another variant).

There is only one reason Miura's get their front end replaced...
