I actually like getting busted by the Ferrari Chat police and being given the correct information :)

Production papers of 6053 have the GT suffix.

I have the factory build sheets for 20 out of the 32 LMs built and they ALL show the "GT" suffix.

Just saw Wayne Sparling and his lovely wife Lorene at the Winter Park Coucours d'Elegance with his freshly restored (by him) 250 GT Series II sn 1755. Wayne is still THE man! Not an LM so I won't post photos here.

Why is the rear wheel in so far in 5893 in this photo (http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=843997&stc=1&d=1227356242). You can see with the Le Mans photo below (http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=843998&stc=1&d=1227356405 and other photos in this thread) that something is wrong here?

BTW: I'm glad that the 250LM finally has an active thread that it so deserves. Always thought it was weird that this particular model was hardly ever discussed on this site.

Date is right, S/N is 006. It was the British Grand Prix meeting where Parkes finished 6th o/a and 1st in class.
The LM is most probably 5907 with David Hobbs which DNF.

Highly unusual fog lights, horizontal air intakes between grille and foglights incorrect, wrong windshield, wrong A-pillar.
Do you have a rear shot?

My first impression seeing the photos was that the side window-frame is too slanted. The windshield is missing the chrome, maybe that's why it is looking strange?

Screen angle and height are totally wrong. See top corner of A-Pillar as well. We need more pix but I honestly think it is not a genuine 250 LM. Way too many details are (look) incorrect.

Could this car be a badly repaired wreck as opposed to a knock-off?
