I saw this posted elsewhere.. I am beginning to see the uses of the new DSLR's boasting HD video. Amazing lenses for amazing videos. (edit.. although this was done with time-lapse i believe)

Tilt-shift or miniature faking has been around for ever.. The purist believe it is only done with film cameras. The rebels can mimic the look in photoshop.

Cool video. That took some time.

I imagine the purists believe it is only done with VIEW cameras.

The fundamental difference isn't film v. digital. It's lens versus bellows.

    This video is absolutely hilarious!

I think we have witnessed the birth of a whole new genre of internet video depicting the world as a living miniature.

Wow, were all the people miniatures too? I'm confused. That was a cool video though.

Everything is real. There is something to do with the settings on the camera. Not exactly sure, I'm sure someone will chime in and explain it better than I can. :D

Digging up an old thread. I saw this Allstate commercial and thought it looked like tilt shift and it seems it is. Just thought it was interesting and wanted to see what others thought....... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oK4nCqddc18

That's an awesome advertisement, IIRC, there is another thread on this which gives you a website where you can tilt shift your own image.

I think there are several tutorial links in the VW forum that's linked above here. I guess it can be done one of several ways including post processing with pshop.

I used to do tilt-shift architectural photography on a Calumet 4x5 view
camera. Can't imagine trying to do time-lapse with a VIEW CAMERA!
Gotta be pretty dang quick reloading film holders!!

Strange, just after I read this thread I switched on TV... and saw a new commercial in exactly that tilt-shift style. Very weird!!
