That's a fire risk, which means you'll have to notify your insurance company who will raise the premium.

Reckon that's worth at least £5,000 in depreciation.

Alas I'm never likely to have to worry about this problem, (sadly due to not owning any Ferrari let alone a CS), however living in the UK, we did have some pretty cold , well below freezing nights this week, but I think I'd be a bit peeved if I couldn't take my £'000s worth of car out to play because it was too cold for the ECU.

As cold as it's been this week, it's probably nothing compared to countries that are cold the whole year round, does no one buys CS's in Switzerland, Finland etc ?

I'm curious if it's something you get warned about when buying a CS (does it only affect CS's , or any Ferrari with a ECU?)

its all a load of SteveF rubbish, the car just needed a replacement throttle valve - thats all. I guess the day SteveF actually owns a strad, he'll then be doing his best to talk up the values

 

they are, but after taking the car to the dealer for assessment, the result was not 'ecu - reflashing etc' it was a throttle valve failure - ie replacement part & labour

the cars always run well in cold weather - after all, she's been to Davos & Stelvio etc in sub zero temps, just that on this occassion, the symptoms looked like a re-flash, but the problem has resulted in a change of a small part

 

Yeh give Steve an "apolopgy" whatever they are!
