Very nice mid-80's BMW 635 at Monticello and Central, 10 AM today.

They are great for a daily driver..takes the boredom out of the commute.

    +1

I couldn't agree more. I've owned 2 of them...they're fantastic cars. Its one of those cars that I prefer with an automatic transmission however.

I wouldn't be surprised if Boardwalk Ferrari (or Lamborghini for that matter) gets one eventually.

Despite being at Classic BMW today, saw 2 customers' Z8 & Alpina B7 in the waiting dock. Also caught their one-off Projekt 3 PKG on a 335i.

My CSi was auto. I wouldn't have one any other way. A manual in a big GT/luxury honker like the 635 doesn't make sense, at least to me.

I certainly wouldn't mind having another as a DD, but it would have to be a a cherry, enthusiast-maintained example. Deferred-maintenance catchup costs are Ferrari $$$ for a car with none of the value of even a modest well-maintained Ferrari.

If you can't beat them...well, you know already.

Seeing as a hopped-up Mustang gets bandwidth as an "exotic", a 6-series Beemer certainly deserves the same. They're great cars.

Souped up mustang it may have been, yet for here, it's relatively exotic, even though it is a pony car...

Drove into the mess yesterday with my wife and spotted Denis' 430 spider on Preston Rd.

It must be cool to be able to drive your car to work and not get a bunch of grief for it.

Also saw a nice black Bentley in front of Trader Vics, but those are as common in Dallas as Mustangs are here near Tyler.

Believe I spotted the well used blue 308GTS which I posted a sighting of back in September at my work place.
This time it was travelling west on Southwestern Blvd. between Caruth Haven and Skillman around the Village Apartment complex.

The new Rolls is a beauty, and a beast. I was lucky enough to see a new one ( a drophead )when I was visiting L.A., it was going through Belaire. They are massive!

Back to the mess yesterday and on our way out of town, I spotted very nice silver 456 GT westbound on 80 in Forney.

We were in our blue whale QX56. ;)

If I can get this headlight thing sorted, I'll have to try to make the toy run.

I believe the 456 is a collector here on the Lake. I've seen one in his garage when I visit.

This was an unusual one - a blue 400i on Mockingbird near Central. I wasn't even aware of the existence of such a Ferrari until I looked it up when I got home.

Congrats on your first post! The 400i isn't unusual, it just has it's own little niche, and still shares the same bloodline as any other of Enzo's babies. On the other hand, I haven't heard one mentioned in a while. Wonder if they will be with us this weekend? Welcome aboard Eli :)

Maserati Gran Tourismo "S" parked in front of my office building off Hickory Ave in Denton. I've been oogling over it for the past hour. Thanks for parking there so I can have something pretty to stare at all day. :)
