I went to 2 Wal-Marts after I left work today. Picked up -

White F430 Spider - found 2 at the 1st store, but some kid wanted one. Ended up finding a 2nd at the 2nd store
Green Lambo Murci - Found 1 at each store
Yellow 360 Modena - picked up a few
Yellow 288 GTO - Found a few at each store. I still need more. Can't say why.

Here are some more pic from my collection -

    1. 1996 #496 Ferrari 308GTS 5 spoke Wheels Oriinally sold the only 1 I had to another F-Chatter, then found another recently
    2. 1996 #497 Ferrari Testarossa Lace Wheels
    3. 1997 #570 Ferrari 355 5 spoke Wheels

The first 2 cars were originally Corgi castings, and I was so glad when Hot Wheels dropped the original Corgi castings.. The 348 Corgi casting they first used was even worse. Here are a few examples in the 2nd post.

Todd - I have 3 that I'm about to return... including one with the variation of the missing "Ferrari" tampo on the engine cover... I'd be happy to trade.. :)

It's funny how so many HW's Ferrari's have goofy little errors or rare variations.

Here are a few common errors and variations.

FE red 156 #2 or #36 on side (36 harder to find) / vari
Silver 575 GTC rear wing loose / error
Blue 512m Racer big and small 6 on door / vari
Yellow GTO no logo on nose / variation error
Red 575 GTC wheel vari (10 spoke htf) vari
512m hunt metal and black base variations (Blk VHTF) /vari
and the list goes on...and on...

The 512m hunt black base variation is my favorite by far! I also really like these two which I'm currently trying to get.
    -Yellow '04 360 "Heat Series" w/ PR5's variation
-Black '06 430 Spider w/ black int variation

I just traded for these two variations yesterday...

250 GTO w/ painted vents variation

    and

    250 LM w/ silver base variation. :)

I never even looked at the base on my yellow 250 lm's tell you mentioned it.
I looked and have one of each...the other being black.

I like the painted vents variation! Picked up an Orange Go-Kart yesterday and finally found the F430 challenge mystery car which was awesome. Still keeping my eyes open for the new spyder variations.

Sweet! Ya I didn't know about it either until another collector offered to trade it to me. I believe the black base is the normal variation and the silver base is harder to find.

    Nice score!

Ya, I've been looking for the painted vents vari for a while now and finally just decided to trade for one. Now I'll probably start finding them everywhere! :D

All I have left to get out of those five is the Yellow '04 360 w/ PR5 variation and the Black 430 Spider w/ black interior variation.
Hope to get the Yellow 360 next week...still haven't found the Black interior 430 tho.

Now that yall have brought the bottom variations to my attention I'll have to pay even more attention.

I can't wait until my parents finally move into their home so I can rumage through my HW's in storage.

I remember when these were originally put out by Hot Wheels. I had bought the 328 GTS and the Porsche castings from a collectibles store when all the Corgi Castings had been released. That was back in '96. That is what started me collecting. I was up to more than 2 or 3 thousand in my collection. But I collected more than just Hot Wheels then. But another collector pissed me off in Wal-Mart one morning, so I sold everything off. I didn't think at the time to keep all the Ferraris, Lambos and other exotics. I have slowly been getting them back for the last 3 years.

Here is what I need for my Project -

    288 GTO - Red & Yellow
    250 GTO - Red
FXX - Red, Yellow & Black
    Any White Ferrari
    Any Green Ferrari

If anyone has any of these, Hold on to them, don't go out of your way to buy anymore unless you want to. I have a bunch of extras that I will get posted when I get my office straightened out.
