Almost as pretty as a Miura right Joe!? Right here is a photo I found in my old boxes. I took it in November 1980 in Europe: to give you a clue as to where it was so you can guess which # look for the car on the right, not to the Bizzarrini on the left. There was an ATS up there as well. Another clue is that my favorite car in that building, also Italian could have beaten Daytonas and allcomers in Group 4 in the early mid seventies but it was never allowed to race. If nobody finds the answer I will provide it but I am sure that will not be necessary Sorry for the poor quality: basic Instamatic. best regards, Marc Image Unavailable, Please Login
The GTO in the middle could be #3943GT in Thepenier's garage. The car on the right is possibly a Maserati Quattroporte and the Group 4 car who could have beaten the Daytona's is surrely the fabulous Maserati Bora Thepenier. Is this right?
I knew I made it too easy and that you would be one of the suspects to answer Yes correct. The car on the right is a 5000GT actually and all these cars sat gathering dust for years as the son of thepenier had made a deal to sell them to an American in hs father's absence. When he came back he cancelled the deal and there was a lawsuit so the cars were idle there for a looong time, the GTO even had flat tires...I used to pass by that St Cloud dealership in the bus on my way to school and everyday saw the back of that GTO up there and the Bora GR4 in the showroom...
I managed to get a hold on this original photo last weekend. Jacky ICKX at GRAND PRIX OF BELGIUM 1970 / SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS 4th on the starting grid and finished 8th Copyright unknown. JR Image Unavailable, Please Login

If it is the same car, I remember it being yellow and a closed car at Hollywood Sportscars in the late 1960s or early 70s. It was owned by Dino Martin Jr.; Dean Martin's son...sorry, no photos...
you are right - there are pics of an open body, when the car was modified for street use by dino martin. interesting question - was that another body on 0850 or was the berlinetta body modified ? when pappalardo had the car, it was in berlinetta configuration and painted red. copyright of the pics unknown Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
