    Hello All,
I am posting this on behalf of a tuning shop in our area dealing with
Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes, Audi, and BMW performance.
Currently BRracing in Los Gatos is in need of borrowing or having
someone that has a SD3 tool, come to the shop to scan a very rare
Novitec Rosso F430. Currently the car is throwing a error code that
needs to be cleared. The problem has been fixed but the code and light
    are still apparent.
BRracing has contacted the appropriate dealers in the area and
unfortunatley non of them have a SD3 tool to assist with. The only
location that does is too far away for this car to be driven without
either the CHP or the local law enforcement taking notice of its
    presence, due to sound.
They would like to see if the community can help them out with such an
amazing machine and the slight issue it is presenting.
If anyone would be so kind to help or come by that would be greatly appreciated.
Please let them know directly if you have any solution at 408-356-1515.
BRracing thanks everyone in advance for helping them out.

uhm. private parties who have an sd3 aren't gonna give it up t you. and no one gives a flying donkey nut about a "novitec 430" whatever that abomination might be.

there are about 10 better ways yo ucould have asked for this, and spamming the thread with the same message from a different poster isn't one of them. aint no wonder you haven't gotten the love

I wonder if it's one of these? Not surprising this would throw codes.

I actually received an SD3 here TODAY, that is headed to a shop customer in Southern California. It'll be there on Monday :)

I have two more scheduled to arrive in January.

(pic shows a Privati version... the ones we're shipping now are branded with Cavallino & Trident. Mike wanted to plug it into the MINI and see if anything happens. I politely told him to F-O.)

I cannot imagine anyone with an SD3 'loaning' it out. They are WAY too expensive.

But you did say F-O - how was that polite? I figured we had a better chance of it doing something to the Mini than to that black clunker of yours.

I actually have seen a Subaru WRX hooked up to one.

First off I am a observer of this forum, trying to admire what others have and while I thought it appropriate to post a need for help for a fellow shop, I did not think that this response would be warranted. I am myself and not Jack_Clark or whatever, but obviously the email that I received asking for assistance from the shop went to others as well. Is it bad to help others?
I think that it is appropriate to seek help where others might have a solution. I think that the shop is aware of the costs of a SD3 hence the reason of why they are looking to get a favor done. Oh btw what are those 10 other ways that I could have asked for the help then?
Also you state that no one gives a flying donkey about a Novitec 430, do you even know your Ferrari's? Here is a link so you can feel better about yourself now and not look down on others that are trying to help.

Thanks for all the other help, others have commented about. Appreciate the feedback.

No kidding Aaron - what's up?

Bill: there are ways to ask favors, most of which require a modicum of decorum. To me this flies in the face of decency - it's no wonder that it goes unsolved.
