Happy holidays to everyone! The 599 has been a bit cranky lately. Recent repairs: new radiator (leak), both front wheel hub/bearing assy's (rumble noise), front and rear rotors and pads (not bad for 32k miles), and 4 new tires. Other than this, the car has been totally trouble free. It had a major service while it was in the shop...all fluids changed, oil/filter,air filters, drive belt (s), etc. Got a call from a friend/dealer a few weeks ago. He says they have (5) slightly used 599's currently in stock, (2) 2008's with less than 2k miles. So I called a friend in Portland who made me promise she would be first in line if I ever wanted to sell this 599. And...sold it to her! She flew in and drove it back to Portland! My garage looks bare without it! I haven't decided my next move. The art dealer/collector business I own is down a bit, not a scary drop, but none the less it does make me take pause before buying another 599. Anyway, each of you have a safe and joyful holiday! Lester.

I'm sorry to hear you've sold it. Hopefully the new owner treats your lady very well. My neighbor had a 599. It was my first f-car ride (everything after has been just a little less satisfying because of it, I set my standards to high). When he sold it I almost cried! Anyways happy holidays to you and good luck with replacing that car.

Lester, what kind of art do you deal with? Do you deal with any sculptures at all?

I'm sure that was a hard decision Lester, sorry to hear that your biz is down.
