0147 E of Siro Sbraci in the Tuscany Cup 1953, long BEFORE it was converted into a Spider California look-a-like.

Joop and Marcel, thanks very much. Just goes to show IMO many Fcars look better in colors other than red (I have only seen 0110 in black).

Dr. Hopf owned Miura 1021 which I currently own; 9th Miura built. He was still alive as of a couple of years ago in Switzerland. We corresponded about his ownership of the Miura, told me he traded it in for a Berlineta (to Monteverdi's dealership) because "At the time I was not too enthusiastic about my Miura." Ouch!

No, unfortunately not. Destroyed in the early 1960s.

    Hello Joop,

Thank you for posting that pic of 0334 in its' original trimmed-up state.I'm not too fond of the strip that runs the length of the car, but it would be great to see her with the bumpers and sill trim back in place! Previously I had seen only 1 phtot of the original car (flat side shot) when it was purchased by Jules Coenen, with whom I was working in the early eighties.

You can find the story of this car in Cavallino magazine n°80. Seem's that the rebody was made in 1965 by... Carrozzeria Sports Cars di Piero Drogo, Modena.

This is a fantastic thread. One that should be permanently stickied. Marcel do you have any additional photographs (in color) of the 375 America (0327 AL) depicted in your first post of this thread? I think that car looks just phenomenal.

That car belongs to a friend of mine and his father, beautiful. His mother has a 1951-53 I cannot remember that they drive on rallies.

Ed, you do have to agree there is no other Ferrari with a dash like this. There has to be a story here. It looks like something that even a decent kit car builder wouldn't have. See what you can find out. Keep the pictures coming. The are just what the provenance collector wants to see. Thanks much. Happy holidays. just one mans opinion tongascrew

WOW, what a wonderful looking front, very Mexico looking... the car does not appear in the Barchetta database. Any clue to its history/present existence?

Marcel, Just a word of thanks for all your contributions to this thread. It is difficult to gat period pictures and info on these cars and these are pearls. Filling in the blanks and .correcting the errors in the "barchetta" pages is what I do. Happy holidays. just one man"s opinion tongascrew

0147 E is also one of the two 212 Inters to have run a Mille Miglia (none of them finished).

Wow, great thread with fantastic pictures! I especcially like the old ones from Ed Niles etc.
I found some Vignale-pictures too, but they are not very special.
But some are nice and they are Vignale Ferrari's!
