Ok, I've checked and can find 10 Connolly VM leather colours that were used in period.

Vaumol porcess hides NLA, but similar colours still available in the Connoly "Autolux" range here:

11 colours in the Daytona series.
Autolux look nothing like the original texture IMO.
I was looking at re trimming the old cream Spur.Autolux hides about 15k with Connolly doing it in the old method but with modern paint about 20k

its not bad,but IMO it will lead to the leather cracking over time.Does have a food in it to help soften the hide.

There are three different stages to the Leatherique stuff I think Rob. We used the cleaner and hide food on the 365 and it worked a treat. I think the 'crack filler' stuff is just the paint/colouration stage. Try the other products in the range, they worked well for us.

RB, being an old football polisher, what do you reckon is the best leather conditioner for 80s Ferraris ?

mine's in good nick and I'd like to keep it that way so I use the BMW products that I got for the 5 series which has soft leather

Coachline - in a big orange tin, you buy it from horsey shops, who sell it for people to maintain their saddles. Made from neatsfoot oil. One tin will last you about 20 years. It cleans and conditions, softens & rejuvenates old leather, stops squeaks. Good for your whips and collars too RB!

Once per year, apply liberally, leave overnight, wipe of the excess. Don't wear white clothes for the first drive! You probably can't use it on white or cream leather, or if you have poofy bright contrast stitching.

Perfect for tan leather. I used it for years. My 365GT, trimmed (in tan) in 1991 and saturated with Coachline, still looks perfect today.

Neatsfoot oil is a similar colour to motor oil, it might be OK for white leather but you'd want to test it first on a non-visible area, in case it darkens it. That would qualify for at least 3 :('s
