In terms of looks: Strange, I liked the original Gallardo Spyder better than the coupé... As for the LP560-4, I like the coupé better...
I don't quite get this statement, these days. Scissor doors didn't appear until the Countach, and by then, Lamborghini had already made several models that did not have this feature. And even when the Countach had scissor doors, I'm positive there were at least 1 or 2 other cars that had them as well. Hell, even when the doors became really well known on the Diablo, Bugatti had already applied them to the EB110. I like 'em, don't get me wrong, and I think they're a great little feature of the company, but Lamborghini had many good cars before they built these scissor doors.
i know they had other great cars, but when i think lamborghini, for some reason, the thought of the scissor doors pop into my head, and they look ever so fitting on the Diablo and Murcie. I just wish they would have put them onto the Gallardo as well. That's just me and my opinion though. Pay no mind.
No, they are only for the Countach, Diablo and Murcielago, and perhaps the next flagship. 300/400GTs, Isleros, Jaramas, Espadas, Urracos, Jalpas, Miuras, LM002s and Gallardos don't have 'em. It's just a styling choice. The Ford GT, Miura, Pantera, Testarossa, F40, F50, Carrera GT all show that you can have a ridiculously low roofline and retain normal doors...
This is partially correct. They have only been on the flag ship model since the Countach. All new flag ship models will have them....we hope.
Being that the car is mixed with Audi parts you'd think they'd put the scissor doors on to give it more exotic street cred. Still a great looking car IMO.
