Here is the post, verbatim. Sounds like a bit of a Nigerian accent if you ask me...

I do not no a lot about the car, as I have just purchased, and have found out that our company is down sizing and my pay role is going to get smaller. She needs a little tlc but all of the major services have been done. If you have a little bit of mechanical skip she is quite the find. I am interested in any kind of reasonable trade that my bank can finance and cash.
email me and let me know.

Looks pretty good in yellow and I do like the 355 wheels on it.

Since the odo shows 77K+ miles, the price makes sense.

That is the 35,000 dollar question. Somebody did soon after it was posted and changed their mind. Possibly a recovery car or salvage?

At least it's not red. Unfortunately it's not black.

I think it hasn't sold because of the black roof and sills. Most people I have talked with seem to want the updated, color keyed look on the 348.

Looks like this is legit. Contacted the guy through email and he had a 206 area code.

IIRC, Someone here on Fchat had preliminarily agreed to buy the red 348 at GPI, but backed out to get something else instead.

As far as I know it's not salvage or anything of the sort. Just a crappy market for selling this stuff. I drove the car and thought about it myself. Ended up abstaining.

The yellow one looks good! And somebody loved it enough to drive it.

Yeah, a 612. Not just a case of CarADD but a case of CarADHD

Paint is cheap and easy. Most people could care less about the early color scheme anyway.

Think about it, a car that weighs about the same as your 308 with 100+ more HP.

If it hasn't been done already it will need updated rear suspension mods to correct some handling issues. Rear wheel offsets for the early cars were 68mm, the late ones were 43.05mm so there were some changes back there. Nothing you wouldn't be able to handle in your garage.
Front offsets remained the same at 49mm, early and late

There was a bit more to it than that. :) The 612 wasn't even in the picture when I said no to the 348. It failed on it's own merits.
